How odd. We never had the fascist left screaming in the media about this danger to our society. But Tommy gets imprisoned for mortgage fraud.

I couldn't decide where to put this. It is so rare to be able to post a news item that says: one of the attempted in-roads has been stopped (for now). So, I guess The Chasm is the only place.

The Newham Megamosque is not going to be built. ....

I guess this megamosque is now off the cards until muslims have got 40% of the MPs. Then it will get the go-ahead.

In a sense, this is a move by the Tories to cross The Chasm. They still are not saying "the fundamentals of islam are the fundamental problem". But think about it: we live in a society where, by definition, religion is considered "a good thing" (e.g. I seem to remember that any religious group which applies for charitable status is given it automatically, because religion is "a good thing). Yet here we have a government which dare not speak out on islam, but which will prevent this religion from creating another of the 10 or so megamosques which litter the country (the exist in Bolton, Birmingham, and several in London; probably some in places like Blackburn and Leicester too).

This Tory government seems to have found an issue where it has something in common with 70% of the UK population. That's not a bad thing in what is supposed to be a democracy.
