It takes a nation to protect the nation
Slave trading in Sudan and Baronness Cox's intervention
We look at Sudan, one of the most notorious slave states. Here slavery is widely used as a weapon of war by the Muslim
north against the Christian and animist south.
In the ruins of a burnt-out village, lie the heaped, rotting bodies of slaves who tried
to escape the northern raiders who stalk the southern Sudan. Slaving
here has killed thousands of people; the survivors have horrific tales
to tell. Matihiane and her children were captured a year ago. They were
marched for 10 days, given food mixed with sand and urine, beaten if
they slowed and sent to work. On arriving with her new master, he
forcibly circumcised her. Such inhumanity has led many to come to the
aid of the southern Sudanese. Baroness Cox, is the most controversial.
Sitting with the slavers in the shade of a tree, she exchanges
greetings and begins to barter for the human booty. Today, $325,000
changes hands for the freedom of 325 slaves. While her solution offers
immediate salvation for the few, it could also be responsible for the
rising number of slave raids. The UN and other humanitarian agencies
will not work with her. She though is adamant; "It would go on whether
we were here or not...it isn't going to change the war." Even for the
slaves she frees though, liberty comes with no guarantees. The only
thing that can buy their peace of mind is an end to the war.

Of course we cannot hold Islam responsible for these slavery abductions, even though many Quranic passages approve of the taking of women and children as war booty.
And of course, we cannot hold Muslims in general responsible for the actions of other Muslims, because, really, are they supposed to get in a plane, fly over there and intervene in their brothers actions? Or even send protest messages to the Sudanese governement? Or even express disgust in their own local press? I mean, you're asking the impossible!
In fact, why don't we just give up trying to draw conclusions or make connections between Islamic scriptures, Islamic political books, the actions of some Muslims, and the responsibilities of the Ummah, or Muslim community - you know, that thing that gets together in Mecca once a year. Oh sorry, I've done it again! We must not try draw any conclusions from the meeting of millions of people in Mecca, that does not indicate any community or central control or guiding principle.
So basically, we should just stop trying to draw any conclusions from any Islamic books, or ascribe responsibility to the actions of any Muslims, or conceive any idea of a responsible 'group' when examining the actions of any Muslims.

Mission Overview
Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.
At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.
Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.
We need to capture this information before it is removed. The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.
We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.
The 4 Freedoms
These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom from Voter Importation
Immigration is allowed - except where that changes the political demography (this is electoral fraud)
4. SP Freedom from Debt
The Central Bank is allowed to create debt - except where that debt burden can pass across a generation (25 years).
An additional Freedom from Religion is deducible if the law is applied equally to everyone:
- Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
