Unbelievable. Has this woman no brain at all?
"They agreed £50 million new UK funding across the next four years to help South Africa improve its business environment to make it more attractive to investors including in the UK, and ultimately lift some of the poorest people in South Africa out of poverty by creating jobs and opportunities."
Mmmm 'creating jobs' like farming?
I couldn’t be more thrilled to be emailing you to let you know that our documentary - Plaasmoorde: The Killing Fields – is now all yours, for you to watch and share.
Many of you will have seen clips and columns, from my time in the country, but this is the full story. For my new friends and our brothers and sister in South Africa, I really feel it is important that you watch it.
Plaasmoorde literally means "farm murders" in Afrikaans. And this documentary follows my journey through South Africa, meeting the white farmers being systematically cleansed from the land.
There are the heartfelt accounts of the victims like brave Bernard, whose own father was bludgeoned to death on his driveway. His young sons confide their wish to end their lives to be with their grandfather.
The black gangs shot at Bernard’s little son, and missed. But the bullet hole in the wall of his family home is still there - a daily reminder of their terrible past every time they go through their front door, and a visible scar, unlike the mental scars now suffered by his wife and sons.
All of the Rebel Media team (including the burly security team) were left in tears on the grass as he told his story in his front step, overlooking his farm. And in quiet moments I think of him and his family often.
This documentary is a tough watch.
But it's an important one too. There are truths from serving police officers and distinguished academics which clearly counter the lies we are told in the mainstream press; that there is no problem in South Africa, that this is all some terrible figment of my imagination.
It’s free to watch and share. The suggested donation is £3 or $4 help us cover the costs of creating this documentary, and to help it be seen by the widest possible audience we can reach.
In return, I would love to send you my companion e-book to the movie, as a gift to thank you for helping this story be told.
If I might ask three things of you; please watch, share, repeat. Working together, the truths of the white farmers of South Africa will be told.
P.S. You can watch the movie now for free by clicking here or going to www.KillingFieldsMovie.com. If you feel moved to support this project through crowdfunding, we will give you a copy of my companion book on the subject, for free.
