Apologies to any site whose copyright we have violated. Over time, vital documents get lost because it becomes impossible to find them due to address changes or being buried; or they can be removed or archived. Therefore, we take copies of vital documents, for the benefit of future researchers.

All members can create new forums (but not new blogs) and make comments on walls. Content should preferably be added to one of the Victim Rooms (below), or the Method Rooms (above), and tagged with the Z-code ('Z' plus country name e.g. "Zuk").

Rooms marked [Content Advisory] contain raw images, so please consider your surroundings when entering.

To get email updates on a discussion just comment on it, or click 'Follow' at the bottom.

Private rooms are not viewable by the public.

If you've just joined, it can be a bit difficult to make everything work the way you want, so here are some helpful hints.

1. Is there a version for Iphone or other mobile phones?

There's a mobile phone version at   //4freedoms.com/m

2. How do I turn on/off the emails about Forum postings?
Go to the Rooms you are a member of. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the link "Notify – E-mail me when there are new discussions"

3. How do I change my avatar (the image that identifies me)?
If you want to change your name or icon/avatar image, go to My Settings, in the upper right hand box. Its best if you first create the image you want as a square, 171 x 171 pixels big, then it won't get truncated and will appear nicely.

4. How do I create clickable links (to webpages)?
You can convert your text link to a dynamic link by:
(1) copy the URL text from your chosen website
(2) select any bit of text in your posting - or just put "click here" and select the 'here'
(3) click on the little chain-link icon next to the S symbol
(4) paste your URL text and hit enter You now have a clickable link in your comment :-) This technique is very powerful. You can not only paste a website, you can link to any page within that website. You can also link to pages within Nemosini, so you can link to documents in any room.

5. How Do I Embed one of your Videos in my Forum?
To get the link to the video, just click on the arrow in the bottom right corner of the Youtube tv box, and a menu will pop up. Click on that 'subsectioned' diagram and it will shrink the video and give you the embed link and URL. Then just click on either of those & they are automatically copied to your clipboard. There's another way you can do it ass well. Just double click on any Youtube video and it opens up the proper youtube website. Then you can grab the embed info or whatever you want.

6. How Do Access 4Freedoms on my Smartphone?
The iphone is
fully supported. On any other smartphone, just browse to the mobile URL: http://4freedoms.ning.com/m

7. Should I use foreign languages?
Yes please do! We encourage everyone to write in their mother tongue, as that is quicker, easier, more enjoyable and encourages growth of their community. There is a discussion
here.

8. How do I do Searches?
You are dependent on the search tags the writer puts on each forum or blog, so please try to attach useful search tags to your entries.  The search facility on Ning is very poor so you can use Tagging tricks to make it better.

  • Search tags are independent of case, so it doesn't matter if you put the term in upper, lower or mixed case
  • You make can make a better tag by running 2 words together, for example "acidattacks" instead of "acid attacks".  The reason being that "acid attacks" will also retrieve text which just contains the word "attacks"
  • For Authors' Name put the personal Name first and surname 2nd, e.g. samialdeeb for Sami Al Deeb

So now when you try formulate a search, here are some more tips:

  • you can query by room with the URL: http://4freedoms.ning.com/group/</a>;(room URLname)/forum/topic/listForTag?tag=(subject)
  • the room URLname is the same or similar to the room name (for example: Room "Women and Children" has URLname "women"). If you go to the room, you will be able to see its URLname in the address bar of your browser.
9. Should I use a Blog or a Forum or a Wall?

Please make your contributions in forums/discussions or on the wall in a relevant room.  Personal blog posting is currently disabled.  We did this because with potentially over 800 individual blogs, and with no subject category or geographical region to guide members, it would be almost impossible to find an important discussion for future reference.

10. How do I tell other members about myself?
Go to MyPage, click on the text box titled "My latest announcement is", and type in some info about yourself that you want to share with others. For example, you could tell them about your current projects and ask for help.

11. Should I 'embed' videos, or post links to them?

Whenever possible, please embed videos and not post links.  There are four reasons.

(a) if you embed, the member can get an idea of whether he wants to watch it or not
(b) when re-browsing the blog, he can remember what the video is about by the photo and the caption
(c) there's a rule for websites, once somebody is on your site, don't send them off it, they may never come back!
(d) you will encourage our other members to follow this good practice.

12. How do I get around the character limit for posting into forums and the wall?

When you do a cut&paste from another website, you are generally picking up "rich text" which is full of HTML control markers and other gubbins.  That is opposed to "flat/plain text" which is just letters + punctuation.

Sometimes there's masses of hidden HTML stuff embedded in the webpage  you've copied, and its that lot that can push things over the limit.  When I get that message, I am sometimes amazed how small the thing I'm posting is.  Obviously if there's loads of images in the post, that will bulk up the number of characters as well, so sometimes, reluctantly, I delete embedded images from the post, then try re-save it.  There's 3 ways round this.

  • The simplest way is to press on the little box with a capital "T" in it, in the Formatting Options Bar a the top of the input box, then paste your stuff into that.  That box will strip out all the extra crap and give you plain old flat text.  You then press the 'Paste' button, and it will magically appear in the input box and be savable.  I've attached a screenshot of the Formatting Options Bar, and put a box around the button which switches on/off plain text.

(One thing people may not know, is if you leave the mouse pointer to hover over an icon/button in the Formatting Options Bar for a few seconds, a little piece of text (a "tooltip") pops up to say what that button does.)

  • When I am copying in the whole text of an article, as I select the text on the other web page, if I see the selection is including e.g adverts or photos I don't want, I move the selection back to the point in the text before it selects the unwanted items.  I have 4F open in another tab of my browser, and I paste in that sub-set of the original site's contents.  I then go back to the original site, and select the text after the unwanted items.

Doing it in this piecemeal manner, I do not lose things like bold text, links, etc. from the original article (most of these will lose some of their formatting/information if posted into a Ning comment after pasting into Notepad, or [I think] if one uses the [T] button to make Ning use plain-text).

This way, I only paste into Ning what I want, but it requires me selecting/copying text from the other website about 4 times.

If the text being pasted into Ning is large, then even my technique might not work (hitting the stupid text limit imposed by Ning).

  • The 3rd way, which is harder,  is to first paste it into the box, then, when saving it fails, click on the blue "HTML" button at the end of the Formatting Options Bar.   That will reveal to you all the hidden embedded crap in what you posted.  If you then learn a bit about HTML, you can unceremoniously cut out a lot of that crap, and try get it down to size, then try save it again.

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom from Voter Importation
Immigration is allowed - except where that changes the political demography (this is electoral fraud)
4. SP Freedom from Debt
The Central Bank is allowed to create debt - except where that debt burden can pass across a generation (25 years).

An additional Freedom from Religion is deducible if the law is applied equally to everyone:

  • Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
