Key Info

Religious arguments go in the Theology Room, so all the rest (i.e. secular ones) come into this room. One-on-one arguments are treated in the same way as combat skills are treated in the UFC, as a pure skill, unrelated to the truth or falsehood (whatever that is) of the underlying message.

  • "Let me now state what seems to me the decisive objection to any conservatism which deserves to be called such. It is that by its very nature it cannot offer an alternative to the direction in which we are moving. It may succeed by its resistance to current tendencies in slowing down undesirable developments, but, since it does not indicate another direction, it cannot prevent their continuance. It has, for this reason, invariably been the fate of conservatism to be dragged along a path not of its own choosing. The tug of war between conservatives and progressives can only affect the speed, not the direction, of contemporary developments." - Hayek, 1961

Yes but in the beginning there was not one bacteria, even if there was, there were rapidly billions of them. The first primitive living organism, to my thinking would not have been a one time event but something that happened spontaneously multiple times because the conditions allowed the event of crossing the boundary from complicated chemistry to lifeform remained in existence most likely for millions of years. Already then extinctions would have occurred.

This of course does not alter the fact that after the first bacteria, and especially after the “invention" of sexual reproduction any creature’s ancestors were numerous and contributed dna from many locations. In a complex web of interbreeding (within the species). Then we have to understand how species and the other divisions of lifeforms occur, have occured. Millions of living creatures have contributed over millions of years to my dna. There may have been one first bacteria but there was never one first human being. We evolved as a group, (widely spread?). With both gradual and sudden leaps of evolution towards the large-brained ape that we now are.

When you trace parentage, the branches expand.  But when you trace evolution, the branches converge.

Out of Africa, out of my ass.

The idea of tracing human beings back to a single ancestor is ridiculous and misleading. Every single living being on this planet has thousands of ancestors that have contributed directly to its dna. Human being have not spread in one direction alone, they spread in every direction possible. You have 2 parents 4 grandparents, 8 grandparents, and so on doubling for every generation and all contributing directly to your dna. You are related to about everyone that has lived in your native district the past thousand or more years. 2,4,8,16.32,64,128,256, and so on back in time and across families.

All my love Heather. Keep saying exactly what you mean and stick to your beliefs. I don't think that you are blocked so keep on trying. Philip.

Another bunch of loonies.

It reminds me of an article I read a long time ago. A researcher demonstrated using rats that overcrowding led to a disproportionate rise in violent attacks between the rats. He coupled this to global overpoulation and the rapid growth of gigantic cities. He predicted that overcrowding, people up in each others faces too much, would cause an escalation in violent crime, and I think he mentioned extremism and terrorism, urban and global?

Wars between nations will also become more likely as resources become scarce.

Looks like things can only get worse.

We are no longer educated or informed Alan, we are indoctrinated. Truth doesn't stand a chance against blind faith, unless we champion it.

Comment by Philip Smeeton on May 20, 2017 at 17:50

Quid est veritas? Right Kinana. We just have to plod on and continue to expose lies. We may be wrong sometimes but what matters is that our intention is to tell the truth, as we understand it. And question our beliefs.

If you say that you are going to give me five pounds and sincerely intend to do so then you are telling the truth and that is a fact.

That's about as close as I can get to defining truth; as being reality and fact.

Everything else is speculation, fiction or downright lies.

"What is truth?" Pilate asked.

And then he made his choice.

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom from Voter Importation
Immigration is allowed - except where that changes the political demography (this is electoral fraud)
4. SP Freedom from Debt
The Central Bank is allowed to create debt - except where that debt burden can pass across a generation (25 years).

An additional Freedom from Religion is deducible if the law is applied equally to everyone:

  • Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
