It takes a nation to protect the nation
Tony Blair condemned the Bradford riots as "thuggery" and warned the protesters had ended up destroying their own community.Yet have fails to mention that the thugs bow down to the east and scream
About 1,000 youths pelted officers with bricks, bottles, petrol bombs and fireworks on Saturday night in the worst race riots seen in Britain for years.
Superintendent Mark Whyman
Police have revealed for the first time today the graphic horror of what it was like to face the rioters. Superintendent Mark Whyman, who had the unenviable job of restoring calm during the Bradford riots, said his officers faced a barrage of bricks, petrol bombs and sticks and watched as rioters brandished saws and even a crossbow.
Some have tried to justify disgraceful conduct by stating that the police 'allowed' the BNP to come to Bradford. In reality police advice was heeded, and a prohibition order was obtained preventing marches. This action was criticised, with local headlines shouting 'SPINELESS'.
On the Saturday a handful of BNP supporters attended Bradford and held their rally, and sections of the local community, who had been asked not attend and hold demonstrations chose to do so and then vented their anger on their local officers.
These sections of the local community just happen to be moslem, devotees of the religion of peace
“Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah. He shall retaliate by deceiving them.”
Muslim leaders unite to condemn ‘acts of crime’
Talib Hussain (pictured), spokesman for Carlisle Road mosque, has strongly denied any rumour that youngsters were being urged to participate in the violence on religious grounds. Islam had nothing to do with the riots that rocked Bradford “As far as I know, (which is the same as knowing nothing)all the imams (Muslim elders) in mosques in Bradford have united in their condemnation of these acts of criminality.
“It is total nonsense to even suggest that Islam had anything to do with what happened.
“The Prophet said, ‘I have been given the keys of eloquent speech and given victory with terror.’”
Bradford, senior religious figures stated today. And it was a breakdown in religious values that contributed to the catastrophic events at the weekend, they claimed. “Any person with even the slightest knowledge of Islam would know that this sort of behaviour is totally anti-Islamic.”
“By Allah, the black mass has spread. Abu Bakr said, ‘There is not much honesty among people nowadays.’”
“Whomever Allah wants to deceive you cannot help. Allah does not want them to know the truth because he intends to disgrace them and then torture them.”
Mr Hussain, 42, said he was at the scene of the rioting and saw many outsiders.“There were black, white and Asian people from outside Bradford. Of course there were people from Bradford but there were a lot from outside too.”
Yep thats right Hussain,a lot from outside,
Mr Hussain also condemned police tactics.
“The police made some diabolical mistakes. The fighting started in the city centre and ended up in Oak Lane. Didn’t they learn anything from 1995? And those white businesses should have been protected.” ( Yep, blaming the police, for not protecting the white businesses, not blaming the muslims for damaging them)
“Little do you remember My warning. How many towns have We destroyed as a raid by night? Our punishment took them suddenly while they slept for their afternoon rest. Our terror came to them; Our punishment overtook them.”
Mohammad Riaz, a community leader and former Prospective Parliamnetary candidate for Bradford West, said: “I am an Asian and I feel ashamed that groups of youths had to resort to the extent of burning property and cars, throwing stones and petrol bombs. Those are not the scenes we want to see.
“Our onslaught will not be a weak faltering affair. We shall fight as long as we live. We will fight until you turn to Islam, humbly seeking refuge. We will fight not caring whom we meet. We will fight whether we destroy ancient holdings or newly gotten gains. We have mutilated every opponent. We have driven them violently before us at the command of Allah and Islam. We will fight until our religion is established. And we will plunder them, for they must suffer disgrace.”
“This was not a race issue, it was purely a thuggish element bordering on criminality. They were not standing up for the community, we are talking about thugs and criminals who wanted to deliberately start things up to create the headlines, and there’s no justification.”
“Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.”
A spokesman for the Young Muslim Organisation UK, which has a large number of members in Bradford, said: “The recent uprising of racial tension and riots in Bradford – as well as Leeds and Burnley – is undoubtedly a cause for concern not only for the Muslim community but also for all decent British people.
“He said, ‘Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.’”
And a week earlier
Oldham, England, May 30 (NY Times) - The one thing that everyone in this shell-shocked community seems to agree on is that it all began quietly, with a run-of-the-mill argument between two teenage boys one white, one a Briton of Pakistani origin outside a fish-and-chip shop.
Some blame pervasive racism among whites, who make up 89 percent of the population in this depressed former mill town. Others blame increasing lawlessness among youths of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin, who have reportedly declared whole swaths of Oldham off limits to whites.
This began 1400 years ago in a place called Medina
Thanks for the summary Shiva, its almost artistic!
Its very easy to forget this recent history, and the erosion in our psyche that it effected, so we need to be reminded again, from time to time.
I look at the pix, and I can not help thinking, thats a damnrd load of damage done by a small minority
I was just looking through some old files of mine, and I noticed names of different cities kept popping up, and I see there is a pattern, so I just took Bradford at random and put the all into one post. As you can see I have found quite a lot, so I have to split this discussion into three parts, some of the items I include belong in other victim rooms, but have included them in these topic so as to make the picture more complete.
This is only one city, only one small part of a much larger picture. Maybe I will take a look at other cities.
One of the joys of being in Marrakesh, or a Muslim city anywhere, is hearing the morning call to prayer. There is unquestionably something moving about this haunting, age-old invocation to worship.
Joy: The morning call to prayer in a Muslim city is a haunting, age-old invocation to worship
In a Muslim country there are commonly five calls to prayer a day (sometimes as early as two o'clock in the morning) and these would often be delivered by loudspeaker.
The call invariably comprises assertions about the greatness of God, the goodness of God, the fact that there is only one God, and the role of Mohammed as his messenger.
In a free society, people should be allowed to worship as they please, so long as they do not interfere with the freedom of others.
A St George's Day Parade in Bradford involving thousands of schoolchildren and aimed at promoting community cohesion was cancelled suddenly.
The route through Girlington and Manning- ham for the April 23 2008 event had been deliberately chosen to go through an area where the Bradford riots took place in 2001.
Schools were first given details of the parade by their neighbourhood policing team's school liaison officer last November.
The letter inviting them to take part states that the event had already won the support of the Council of Mosques and the District Interfaith Forum.
But they had been left dismayed after received only days' notice that it will not go ahead
And a suggested alternative date of July 1 has been greeted with scorn by critics of the decision including a church leader and MPs.
The Reverend Tony Tooby, vicar of Girlington and chairman of governors of St Philips Primary School, said he had first learned from a senior Bradford Council officer at a meeting that the parade had been cancelled on "health and safety grounds".
"Children from Heaton, Manningham and Girlington were all going to be involved in the parade which was about coming together," said Mr Tooby.
"We wanted to walk the route of the riots and spread a message of pace and unity.
"The police organised the event. Just days before the event we have been told it has been cancelled for health and safety reasons.
Well at least they had our best interests at heart with regards to our health and safety.Odd those that all the other parades seem to go ahead without health and safety issues? Maybe walking down an English street dressed as St George is a tad more dangerous than walking down an English street dressed like this.........
Shia Muslims in the UK. Devotees doing the maatam on the streets of Bradford.
"If there are health and safety issues as is claimed why is it okay to have it on July 1 and not April 23?
"We are pretty frustrated and I feel the people of Bradford have a right to know why this unity parade has been cancelled.
"The children have been preparing for this for months, making banners and practising songs, they are very upset it has been cancelled in such a way."
Constituency MP Marsha Singh said it was a missed opportunity to boost community cohesion and reclaim St George's Day from "divisive" elements.
As of the 2001 UK census, Bradford had a population of 293,277.
The census showed that 69.3% (203,240) of Bradford's population was White, 1.9% (5,572) Mixed Race, 26.1% (76,545) Asian, 1.3% (3,812) Black and 1.4% (4,105) from other races. 22.1% of the population are of British Asian origin, this percentage being part of the 26.1% above, the third highest percentage of South Asians in a single settlement in England and Wales behind the city of Leicester (29.9%) and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
It is forecast that a combination of growing population movement, large-scale immigration and the phenomenon of white flight will mean that no ethnic group will hold a demographic majority in Bradford by 2016
The ONS Regional Trends report, published in June 2009, showed that some parts of Bradford suffer from the highest levels of deprivation in the country. Infant mortality is double the national average, and life expectancy is slightly lower than in other parts of the district
A mother today condemned young thugs who robbed and beat her teenage son and left him naked in a park.
His three attackers also set two dogs on him and he was bitten on the ear.
The youngster, who suffers from asthma, was left with serious facial injuries, including a broken nose, fractured cheekbone and broken teeth.
A passing motorist draped a blanket around him and took him to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Detectives are investigating the "unusual" incident.
David's mother, Julie Procter, said she could not believe what the attackers had done to her son when she saw his injuries in hospital.
She said: "It was bad enough David being beaten up and robbed, but then to take all his clothes and leave him there was beyond belief. All they left him with was a little eye stud."
He had been treated at BRI for chest pains brought on by his asthma and had set off to walk to his father's home in Holme Wood when the attack happened, at around 1am last Sunday
David said: "I was at the entrance to Lister Park. I saw a young Asian lad and asked him for directions. He whistled two others over and they offered to take me in a car. I thought something was a bit dodgy and I said I would walk. When I turned to go they started on me."
The teenager said he was forced to hand over his mobile phone and items of jewellery.
He was then made to strip off all his clothes.
But when he tried to hand over a gold chain he had to rip it from his neck to get it free.
"One of them said: I wanted it all together' and they started beating me up," said David. "One lad punched me twice in the face, knocking me to the ground. All three then just started kicking me in the side and the face..
Two men who shared a 13-year-old Bradford schoolgirl for sex after she was bribed with alcohol, cigarettes and money have been jailed.
Shabir Ahmed, 39 – branded “a dangerous, predatory paedophile” by a judge – was locked up for ten years and must spend an extra four on extended licence.
Munwar Khan, 42, who paid the girl £20 for sex, was imprisoned for three years and four months.
Ahmed forced the girl’s older sister to watch them having sex at his flat in Bradford, and was seen by her horrified aunt having intercourse with her through his open curtains, Bradford Crown Court heard.
The aunt told the jury of witnessing a “naked, pot-bellied, 40-year-old man” having sex with her young niece.
Ahmed was convicted last Friday of three offences of having sex with the girl, grooming her, two offences of indecently assaulting her vulnerable adult sister and nine of having obscene child pornography on his computer.
Khan, of Morley Street, Bradford, pleaded guilty to two offences of having sex with the girl.
Ahmed has a conviction for indecently assaulting a girl of 13 in his car after plying her with alcohol.
He was jailed for 30 months in 2005 and ordered to sign on the sex offenders’ register for life.
A schoolboy who ran away from home to become a Muslim martyr and three students who recruited him are facing jail after a jury found them guilty of terrorism offences.
Mohammed Irfan Raja was supposed to be on his way to school in Essex when he ran away to join a group of radicalised students in Bradford.
Raja, from Ilford, who was then 17, caught a bus to West Yorkshire as part of a plan to travel to Pakistan for terrorist training.
He left his parents a note which said: "If not in this (world) we will meet in the Garden of Paradise, Inshallah [God willing].
"The situation is such that you will live another 30 years, maybe 40 years. When death will befall you, maybe then you will appreciate what I have done now." A "PS" added that he was going abroad.
Raja's distraught parents called the police in February last year.
Yesterday Raja and three others were found guilty of possessing articles useful for terrorism after a three-month trial at the Old Bailey.
Officers found a "profusion of Islamic propaganda" on the schoolboy's computer which showed he had been talking to Bradford University students in a chatroom.
Police found a cache of terrorist material after being called to a domestic dispute at the home a hairdresser shared with her Bradford husband, a jury was told.
Beheading videos, propaganda glorifying Osama bin Laden and bomb-making guides were seized along with peroxide and bleach, used by Shasta Khan in her work, which together with electrical equipment were being readied to make an improvised explosive device (IED), Manchester Crowncourt head yesterday. Three- times married Khan, 38, denies involvement in terror activities, the jury was told.
The pair were in the process of assembling components of a home-made IED to attack Jewish neighbourhoods after becoming radicalised by al Qaida on the internet, it is alleged.
Shasta Khan, who ran her hairdressing business from the couple’s terraced house in Oldham, along with her unemployed car valeter husband, planned to carry out “jihad at home”, pursued through “lone wolf” terrorist attacks, Bobbie Cheema, prosecuting, told the court.
The pair were “mercifully” stopped by chance after a minor domestic row led to police being called to their house in July last year.
When I first started this topic I had no idea it would end up being so many parts, After finishing part three, I thought I had covered every thing concerning the islamization of Bradford, and take a look at another place, but before I can move on I have to make another part, because I grossly over looked the tragic case of PC Sharon Beshenivsky
PC Sharon Beshenivsky was a West Yorkshire Police constable shot dead by a criminal gang during a robbery in Bradford on 18 November 2005, becoming the seventh female police officer in Great Britain to be killed on duty.
Another police officer, PC Teresa Millburn, was also shot in the incident, receiving serious wounds to the chest. Millburn had joined the force less than two years earlier; Beshenivsky had served only nine months in the force at the time of her death.
Closed-circuit television cameras tracked a car rushing from the scene and used an automatic number plate recognition system to trace its owners. This led to six suspects being arrested; three were later convicted of murder, robbery and firearms offences; two of manslaughter, robbery and firearms offences; and one of robbery. A seventh suspect remains at large.
On the afternoon of 18 November 2005, Beshenivsky and a colleague and fellow probationer Teresa Millburn responded to reports that an attack alarm had been activated at a travel agent on Morley Street in Bradford. Upon arrival the officers encountered three men who had robbed the agent of £5,405; two were armed with a gun, another with a knife. One of the gunmen fired at them immediately at point-blank range, fatally wounding Beshenivsky in the chest and also hitting Millburn in the chest, before all three men made a getaway in a convoy of cars.
She was the second female officer to be fatally shot (the first was Yvonne Fletcher in 1984), and the first female officer to die in an 'ordinary' gun crime (Fletcher was shot during a protest at the Libyan embassy in London).
She had three children and two stepchildren, and died on her youngest daughter's fourth birthday. Beshenivsky's funeral took place on 6 January 2006 at Bradford Cathedral
On 25 November 2005, police named Somali brothers Mustaf Jama, aged 25, and Yusaf Jama, aged 19, as well as 24-year-old Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah as prime suspects.[Yusaf Jama was arrested in Birmingham the following day and was subsequently charged with murder and robbery. On 12 December 2005, Shah was arrested in Newport, South Wales; he was later also charged with Beshenivsky's murder. Mustaf Jama had fled to Somalia but was extradited two years later.
A SUSPECTED police killer escaped capture by fleeing Britain disguised as a Muslim woman.
Asylum seeker Mustaf Jama hid beneath a full-face niqab veil to sneak through Heathrow posing as his sister.
Jama, who is wanted for the murder of policewoman Sharon Beshenivsky, also wore a flowing head-to-toe jilbab as he fled to Somalia.
The Muslim gangster had been freed from jail six months earlier when Home Office officials ruled it would be unfair to deport him to his war-torn homeland because it was too dangerous.
The scandal emerged yesterday as Jama’s brother Yusuf was convicted of the murder of 38-year-old WPC Beshenivsky in a bungled robbery. Muzzaker Shah, 25, was also convicted of murder and two accomplices were convicted of manslaughter.
Jama was Britain’s most wanted man when, during last year’s Christmas holidays, he sneaked through Heathrow – even though air, rail and sea ports were on red alert following the murder in Bradford the month before.
On 18 December 2005, Yusuf Jama was found guilty of all charges against him, including the murder of Sharon Beshenivsky. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a recommendation that he should serve a tariff of thirty-five years before being considered for parole, more than double the recommended minimum term imposed on most suspects found guilty of a single murder. This was expected to keep Yusuf Jama imprisoned until at least 2040 and the age of sixty
Muzzaker Shah was also sentenced to life imprisonment with a recommended tariff of thirty-five years, which was also expected to keep him in prison until at least 2040 and the age of sixty.
Faisal Razzaq, a 25-year-old from London, was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a recommendation that he should serve at least eleven years before being considered for parole. This was expected to keep him imprisoned until at least 2017 and the age of 36. He had driven the lead car of the gang's convoy from Leeds to Bradford and acted as a lookout during the robbery.
On 2 March 2007, Hassan Razzaq, the 26-year-old brother of Faisal, was also convicted of manslaughter and was sentenced to twenty years in prison. He had also acted as a lookout. Raza Ul-Haq Aslam was a third lookout and was sentenced to eight years in prison for a single robbery offence.
All of the suspects except Aslam were also found guilty of robbery and a series of firearms offences.
On 1 November 2007, Mustaf Jama was extradited from Somalia after an undercover Home Office operation and taken into police custody at Bridewell police station in Leeds. He was charged the next day with the murder of Beshenivsky, appeared before Leeds magistrates, and was remanded into custody. On 22 July 2009 at Newcastle Crown Court, Mustaf Jama was found guilty of murder and was also told that he would serve at least 35 years in prison, which is expected to keep him in prison until 2044 and the age of 64. It later transpired that he had been released from prison (having been convicted of burglary and robbery offences) just six months before Beshenivsky's murder and that he had been considered for deportation to his native Somalia but Home Office officials ruled it was "too dangerous".
The alleged mastermind of the robbery, Piran Ditta Khan, remains unapprehended. It has been reported that the 50-year-old fled to Pakistan. A reward of £20,000 has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
In June 2007, Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah received an additional nine years to his sentence for firearms offences committed during a car chase in 2004.
In December 2007, Yusuf Jama was also convicted of conspiracy to rape and handed an additional twelve years to his sentence. The case related to the gang rape of a woman at a house party in Birmingham some days after Beshenivsky's murder.
In March 2008, both Shah and Yusuf Jama received a further four years imprisonment for wounding with intent after they stabbed another inmate at Frankland prison in Brasside, County Durham.
Faisal Razzaq was handed an additional seven-and-a-half year sentence in June 2007 for possessing prohibited firearms in 2004.
After posting the other four parts to this topic we can see the grim future of Bradford, one question remains, what will happen to those that enabled the islamization of this once fair city, once the islamist s have no more used of the enablers
The big question is will they face the same fair fate as their komrades in Iran
after the islamists took power
The 1988 executions of political prisoners in Iran refers to the systematic execution of thousands of political prisoners across Iran by the government, starting on 19 July 1988 and lasting about five months. The majority of the prisoners killed were supporters of the People's Mujahedin of Iran, although thousands of supporters of other leftist groups, including the Fedaian and the Tudeh Party of Iran (Communist Party), were also executed.
The killings have been called "an act of violence unprecedented in Iranian history — unprecedented in form, content, and intensity." The exact number of prisoners executed remains unclear. Amnesty International recorded the names of over 4,482 political prisoners reportedly killed during this time, but Iranian opposition groups suggest that the number of prisoners executed was far higher, and as many as 30,000 prisoners may have been executed
