India should be given more aid, to make up for the money lost in the space program:

India successfully launches its 1st space observatory

This isn't about the 4 Freedoms, but its an interesting article about India.

Why Britain does not owe reparations to India -

It is not my intention to insult or argue with you Alan. I just do not make compromises on religious belief. To eat meat or not is a personal choice that I have no problem with. When not eating meat becomes a religious law then it is a problem for me, and I give my opinion.

Please note that I said my comments applied to India (not Norway). Good luck with the tree planting!

It's still stupid not to eat cows Alan, and the reason is superstition about reincarnation. Cows aren't holy, nothing is. We get milk and fertilizer and still eat the cow. Wood is a better fuel if you plant enough trees. It is the job of the farmer to nurture and protect the cow and harvest cattle. Being a pig I have no respect for any religious belief. Does not mean that I do not think animals should be treated humanely, but they are just animals nothing more nor less sharing this planet with us. Protect them but eat them, just like whales. I wouldn't eat my dog though not before I get really hungry.

The Hindu attitude to the cow is not like the Muslim attitude to the pig. They do not see it as Haram or dirty, they see it as pure and sacred. They set it apart, like Muslims do the pig, but in a reverential way, not a disgusted way.

There are sound reasons for doing this. The cow provides both milk and fuel for cooking, so is much more useful alive than dead.

I'm sure you've seen figures from vegetarians about production of protein by animal breeding requiring 10 times more land than production by leguminous (protein rich) crops. Than is another sound reason for not cutting up and eating the cow in India.

And, absent a large modern police force, what better way to protect these mobile assets, than to instill a feeling of respect into the people?

Pork forbidden here, beef forbidden there. Just shows you how boundlessly stupid and ignorant and crazy most people on this planet are. Willing to believe in anything and to kill and die for nonsense. If you're not going to eat something or kill and die for an idea, then please give a rational explanation for your behaviour. Voices in my head told me to do it is the excuse far too many otherwise sane people use. "It is written", do me a favour.

Pakistan, not the first country that comes to mind when you think of aid to other countries has sent aid to Nepal. (a majority Hindu country)  Beef Masala.

IN 1971 Muslims murdered 2.4 million Hindus ;

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom of Movement
The government can import new voters - except where that changes the political demographics (i.e. electoral fraud by means of immigration)
4. SP Freedom from Over-spending
People should not be charged for government systems which they reject, and which give them no benefit. For example, the government cannot pass a debt burden across generations (25 years).
An additional Freedom from Religion is be deducible by equal application of law: "Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight - except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
