Rabbi Nachum Shifren
Wed 22 Aug, 02:06
There is only one solution that will bring tranquility and civility back to Malibu: the reinstatement of law and control of illegal aliens. The massive anarchy seeping into Malibu is visible daily....the lawless and malevolent dropouts of society have found a groovy haven among the surfers and leftists parading their attitudes. The police aren't going to do anything except recover the bodies of those victimized. There needs to be a wake-up call among Malibu residents, but that will require a change in attitude, a realignment of political will. Good luck on that one. Dolphins have more rights....
--

I was asked to comment on points made by Arthur Koestler in his book, "The Thirteenth Tribe"..... thought I'd share with you....

I agree with your point about the delegitimization of Jews with this theory, that somehow western (ashkenazy) Jews are not "real" Jews. If you look at the myriad jewbaiters and "palestinophiles" , a common thread is that the whole problem in the Middle East is due to "white" colonialists who have interloped into "palestine"......this is quite convenient. It does two things: it accentuates the claim that Arabs/Muslims can get along just fine with Jews....it's just those damn "white" Jews that infiltrated from Europe to "mess" things up. Secondly, with that premise, you now have the pretext for destroying the "zionist enemy"....note that the anti Semites have no problem with Jews, it's just the white interlopers from Poland and Germany (zionists--note also that this is code for whites, being that sephardic, or dark Jews never adopted the modern zionist ideology) that just don't "fit in" with the Middle East protocols. The fact is, as you know, anyone whose mother is Jewish, is Jewish--whether from Morocco or Minsk. Only ignoramuses and the naive (of which covers nearly 90% of humanity) accept the view that the ashkenazy wing of Judaism is not really Jewish. Interesting that the African National Congress has taken up this mantra when comparing the European Jews with the Afrikaners....of course, God never promised Cape Town to the Afrikaners, but He did make such a promise of the Land of Israel to the Jewish people at Sinai (dark as well as not-so-dark Jews). During the 5 wars in which Arab armies hoped to decimate Israel, at no time was there any mention about the murder, rape, and plunder of only "ashkenazy" Jews. Hope that helps...

Notice: We hear alot about the "holy month of Ramadan", "the holy sites of Mecca", ad nauseum....anybody ever hear about the holy holiday of Christmas? The Christian "holy sites?" Why? Because there's no holiness in the white race...only people of "color" are allowed to be holy.

This is why we're losing the war against radical Islam...

When Americans were wearing pants, they wouldn't have ever let the seditious groups like CAIR, ISNA, MSA get a toehold in this country. But of course, since we don't know who is SUPPOSED to wear pants any more, we're screwed....

There must be a second American Revolution to straighten this out. Seems our good friends, Smith and Wesson, will be once again asked to step forward and be counted...

[Name], I spoke before the Republicans of Palm Desert last week.....the response to my no-nonsense tirade about Islam and the progressive left's assault on the nation was met with much enthusiasm and promises of future venues.

I hope everyone on this list will forward the endorsements below to all they know. Very few of us are Rambos, taking on the evil left and communists in areas of education, immigration, 2nd amendment, etc. However, my background as an LAUSD teacher for 25 years has cut my teeth on the radical left's machinations for this nation (and when I say "left", I do mean blacks, hispanics, and the radical Gay fascists). I bear witness to the many and perverted tactics of my colleagues to incite students and communities against whites and Christians, lock step with the Alinsky template for upheaval and mayhem.

I had my classroom burned to the ground after I failed 70% of my students at Dorsey High for lethargy, lack of work, defiance, tardiness, truancy, and complete lack of academic standards...for this, I was marginalized and nearly destroyed. I survived, knowing I'd live to fight another day. After 25 years of wasting my life, being a well-paid babysitter, cop, therapist, gang prevention functionary, paper pick-up monitor, detention coordinator....I have risen from the dead with one mission: to take the battle to the sick and twisted ex hippies running roughshod over this wonderful nation.

I stand at attention, reporting for duty, awaiting orders for my next mission.

Never listened to anything he's ever said....until now. He's 1000% right on this. Furthermore, I challenge any Black man today: where would a better life be had--Africa or here in post Jim Crow America? Marcus Garvey started a "back to Africa" movement...were there any takers? I'm waiting for Black Lives Matter "activists" to get out their passports! We all know the truth...and the confirmation came from none other than Kanye. With his outspoken support of Trump, he severed the chains of servitude to the plantation masters of the DNC

Dear Nicholas and Jerry

I need your help.

After having taught in the communist inspired government schools for 25 years, watching our youth being destroyed by hate-America, hate-Christian, hate-White teachers and ideologues--I have decided to act to save what's left of America's individual liberties.

We can win battles in far-off places against ISIS, in Iraq, Syria, Somolia...but the battle to transform our nation has begun under Obama and is funded with an unlimited budget from those who hate our way of life. All battles against are enemies are for naught, unless we re-capture the minds and souls of our impressionable youth.

I am asking that I be a speaker on behalf of this cause, before your most trusted American patriots, colleagues that agree with my analysis and solution. The video below is self-explanatory. Thanks for sharing it, along with this appeal, to those you believe are with us in this battle for the hearts and minds of America...our youth.

Antifa, Move On, Black Lives Matter,La Raza, Mecha, Atztlan and other communist inspired organizations that will use any means to take down our society, are at work. They are relentless and suffer no losses on the battlefield of America...and us? Where are our "minutemen", pushing back the darkness and societal malaise, at work? Let my plea to you be the first, though small as it may appear, shot over the bow to arouse fellow Americans to action in taking back our halls of academia.

Imagine, in the "belly of the beast", the heart of the Leftist stronghold presently choking Americans' freedoms...here in California, a charter school that our Founding Fathers would be proud of! That's my goal, and that's why I turn to you. You know I am a fighter, and will never give up...but I can't do it alone.

I will provide for my own transportation and personal necessities, lodging, etc at any occasion of your choice, or that of your colleagues.

Hoping to hear from you soon!

DESCRIPTION:

Rabbi Shifren outlines his plans for a new charter school based on basic traditional American values and principles. His school would be very familiar to prior generations but has been long lost due to the changing political climate and liberalism. Watch as the Rabbi makes his case from where we are today to a new (yet old) approach to common sense education in our country.

20-3-2018

Psalms: "They (the haters of Israel) plan and give counsel, they talk and utter words...but the L-ord is with us!"

As we know, there have been MANY pan-Arab campaigns against Israel, each one swearing that they would drive the Jews into the sea: the "war of independence" in 1948, the "war of attrition" in 1951, the "Sainai campaign" in 1956, the "Six Day War" of June, 1967, the "Yom Kippur war" of 1973....in each case, the Arabs with great hubris maintained that that would be the last war, a war of genocide, the GREAT WAR against the infidel!

Let us count the ways of genocide: Pharoah and the Egyptians (the story of Passover), the Greeks, the Romans, the Persians (the story of purim)--the list is long.

When Santyana said: "Those that forget history will be doomed to repeat it," he no doubt had in mind the Arabs!

A little secret: Israel was a dot on the map, with the Arabs in control of the entire Judean and Samarian ("West Bank") area....in control of the city of Jerusalem. The element of surprise and overwhelming odds was always against Israel (with the exception of '67). In each case they vanquished the enemy.

There are many Believers that know how this will end. The armies and munitions amassed against the Jews will be buried in the desert, their rust and bones giving testimony to the Will of G-d...

The very existence of the State of Israel is a daily miracle, proof of the hundreds of thousands of plots and genocide plots that were foiled, only to strengthen the resolve of Jews and their Christian friends, to seek Divine Intervention in the face of overwhelming odds.

"Turn to Me, and I will turn to you," are the words of the prophet.
Fools scoff, wise men beseech Him.

Thank you, brother [Name], for this gem of wisdom from that great statesman , de Toqueville!

How prophetic his words have become....

“I studied the Quran a great deal. I came away from that study with the conviction there have been few religions in the world as deadly to men as that of Muhammad.”

To my dear fellow Knights of Malta

I have been awarded many accolades and measures of achievement in my lifetime: whether they be from my distinguished career as a Malibu beach lifeguard, triathlons and varied athletic endeavors, big wave surfing, military service, testimonials regarding my 25-year service as an educator of our youth.....but the honor that you bestowed upon me is one that will always be the closest to my heart! In reading the short text about the bravery and dedication of the Knights, both on Rhodes and Malta, and their high degree of integrity and spiritual conviction, I knew I must live, to the best of my ability, in accordance with their credo of service and their guardianship of freedom and liberty.

In meeting you, I have found a new fellowship of like-minded patriots with whom I share an eternal bond. The darkness described in the sojourn of the brave Knights, their heroism in the hour of inhuman barbarity which they confronted with valor and steadfastness, will forever remind me of what I must do for this wonderful Republic.

Soon, the Jewish people will sit down to recall the Exodus out of Egypt...the centuries-long; the tale of bitter slavery and murder of every first-born male will be retold anew. In every generation, it is told, "there are those that rise up to destroy us...but G-d almighty is their to deliver us." At this time, I am reminded of those brave, righteous Gentiles that very much in the spirit of the Knights, came forward to save Jewish men, women, and children--at the risk of their very lives. And so to show my deep appreciation, it is incumbent upon me to do what I can to alleviate the suffering of Christians in the Middle East--tortured, murdered, and raped by the barbaric and cursed Muslim fanatics. Here at home, a different battle awaits my fellow Christians: the fight for religious liberties, the rights of innocent babies still in the womb, and the fanatical Leftist hatred and enmity toward believers on our college campuses, often incited by the very leadership that is sworn to guard and secure our constitutional rights. At this very moment, our nation is literally threatened by a cabal of communist-inspired actions to subvert our freedoms and cause mayhem in the land.

It was Divine Providence that brought me to meet and befriend General Jerry Boykin, to whom I expressed my gratitude and thoughts for the future. My dear friend, Nicholas Papanicolau has been an inspiration and mentor, whose counsel and wisdom have been my portion

You, my friends, can count on me to be there for you. I shall continue to hearken to those eternal words: "Ask not what your country can do for you...ask what you can do for your country!"

May G-d bless each of you, as you go forth in your own battles and fights for the survival of everything we hold dear. I am proud to be with you, in body and spirit, as we undertake this just cause.

A Happy Easter to you all!

Reminiscent of the Nazi bombing of the Reichstaad in Berlin, blaming it on the Communists in order to destroy them as an opposition party, and exterminate them as the "enemy of the 'Volk'", all the while consolidating their hegemony over Germany, so too the Left knows that the only way they can arouse their base is by fanning the flames of "racism". Note: not ONE white politician has the temerity to oppose black communists in Congress for fear of having the "race card" played against him.

The Leftist hegemony of the schools has been with the aid of the illegal alien population, black activists (i.e., Karen Bass, Kamala Harris, Maxine Waters....to the exclusion of the working black middle class), and the radical left that has been energized by Obama, Soros, et al.

Just as the Nazis succeeded in playing the communists as "enemies" of Germany in order to marginalize and eliminate them, so too the Left has been successful at marginalizing any white nationalist by using the race issue. It is a successful ploy, because it works!

The cesspool known as "LAUSD" has become a repository for illegal aliens and non-citizens, to the extent that the majority of it's students are non-English speaking foreigners. A poll showed that among teachers in LAUSD, 70% refuse to have their children in the schools in which they teach!

They (the non English speaking, illegals, and foreigners) are the secret weapon behind the success of the powerful UTLA union, SEIU, and the Democratic party. With whites and middle class being pinched out of existence in once prosperous California, the Left is counting on lots of race baiting to make up for those that are simply voting with their feet. Look forward to a democratic party that resembles Mexico and the Third World more than the US....and those that oppose them, and their radical agenda in our schools, as the new "racists",which serves to galvanize and strengthen their support. Their problem: illegals and Third Worlders have no money! Look for the eventual abolition of Prop 13, with a rush on middle class home owners to financially support the radical left, ceding ever more power to them in the schools. The day will come when whites will be unwelcome in their own state. How do I know? Because I've had nothing but abuse and disrespect in LA schools...simply by just being myself! I'm thinking back on MLK's fateful words: "judge not by the color of one's skin, but by the content of their character!" Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that it would be ME that this was directed at!

Below is the draft of a message that I will give to parents, educators, and community leaders about the concept and mission of The Renaissance Charter School. Please share with members of your community that have been waiting for a school worthy of their students' time and efforts.

Kindly join us for a light supper after our presentation and Q & A.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming here today to hear the good news about the education that awaits your sons and daughters.

As your new principal, it is my duty to lay out the groundwork for our next academic year, and all subsequent years. There will be time for questions after the presentation.

If you have come here today to seek a superior academic atmosphere, where we will be guided by the truths that led to our western civilization, the moral certitude that defined our quest for justice in the pursuit of, and adherence to "natural law" as the bedrock of our republic, and a classical education that will enrich and solidify the learning of your student in past traditions with the challenge of the future, .....then you've come to the right place.

I can assure you that what we are doing here is historic. It represents a pioneer endeavor in steering education away from the grip of defeatism, sloth, victimization, and every conceivable pretext for poor performance and discipline.

Let me remind you that President Reagan's "A Nation at Risk" commission on the assessment of the present state of American education was a wake-up call. In the words of the commission: "If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the medicore educational performance today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war!" In light of this crisis, we have taken it upon ourselves to "reprogram" our youth from the destructive progressive educational pablum offered up by that guru John Dewey, known as the "father of American education." His notion of our youth being like biological organisms, without a soul or free will, simply adapting themselves to their environment, has taken a dangerous turn as we can plainly see. Rosalie Gordon noted that Dewey's big push was the death knell of individualism, instead focusing on the "group"...zero independent thinking or individuality. "The child must always be made to feel part of the group, he must indulge in group thinking, in group activities."

As Dewey remarked: "You can't make socialists out of individualists!" To that end, he advocated terminating things that connect the child with his culture, his past, his language, literature, science, geography...in short, anything that will prevent the student from being molded into the robotic, collectivist drone desired by the state, was seen as an obstacle.

That was 1984....what's changed? Well, for starters, the malignant disease known as "western guilt" has, in the words of Heather McDonald, created a "fatalistic paralysis". In laymen's terms: political correctness is killing us.

Here at the Renaissance school, there will be an absence of political correctness; likewise we will promote a vigorous exchange of ideas, especially those that redefine the greatness of the American spirit and our Constitution.

When Art Torres declared that our preservation of our values and laws was the "last gasp of White America", he apparently overlooked the existence of our Renaissance school, where we will put into practice the wisdom and guidance of our Founding Fathers and the spirit of classical western culture, music, art, and science.

One of the main aspects of the Reagan commission was the matter of a lack of school discipline. Notable among the symptoms was a lack of administration's order and standards. Every teacher knows this to be true. The commission noted also that wherever standards were raised, academic proficiency increased. Homework improved grades.

Years ago, while I was at Dorsey High, some parents were aghast that I hadn't passed their students due to a total lack of homework. "But my child comes to school every day!", was the improbable response of one. What we can say about this incident is this: unlike other schools that are funded by how many bodies are present during a specific day, we will do more than just while away time, breathing as the bovine creatures do.

In order to have academic excellence, there must be a moral basis for the school. We will start each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and America the Beautiful. When our students say it, sing it, they'll believe it.
We shall invite a color guard from ROTC or Boy Scouts to come and inspire our students about civic pride, leadership, and taking a part in the strengthening of their communities and families. The NRA will invited to come to our school and give safety seminars about proper skills in marksmanship and gun responsibility and safety. No child will graduate that doesn't have experience with light weapons and their care.

One of the directives of the failed Obama education czar was to abolish student suspensions. When this was done in Philadelphia, truancy went from 20-30%. And Why? Students were so afraid of being mugged in the bathrooms and elsewhere, or forced to fork over their lunch money, that they simply stayed home! Math proficiency dropped 3%, reading, 7%.
To remedy this notion of "do-your-own-thing" attitude toward discipline, we will establish rules that will maintain a superior atmosphere of learning and zero tolerance toward anything that deters from this goal. It may be necessary to have parents sit in the class with their students, in worse case scenarios.

With the advent of so many questionable charter schools, we've seen a worrisome trend toward ridiculous and dangerous schools offering blandishments and phony curriculae such as Globalism, one world, environmental charters, human rights charters, Obama High School, Johnny Cochran School--in each of these charters, one finds that reading and math scores are the lowest. Their mission: save the world, even though the students are unable to fill out a job application.

Here at the Renaissance school, what we WON"T be providing are solutions to personal, social or political problems, each exacting a cost in education and money. We believe that those students that are improperly trained will be disenfranchised, not only materially, but in their participation in national life. There will be no phony graduation rituals- students will graduate when they are ready.
Nor do we believe that every student must attend a university. All of our students will be able to prove an adequate knowledge of the arts, sciences, literature, and English, and they will have the option to take carpentry, metal, electrical, and auto shops if they desire. Gone are the days when students while away their time, taking up space, completely cut off from their learning and the promise of a future. We will work with parents at all times to insure that the standards are being met.

During the Reagan years, it was determined that 13% of teens were functionally illiterate, with only 20% being able to write a persuasive essay! This is a scandal that cries to the heavens. But that's not the worst of it. Standards have been so degraded, that over 25% of college freshmen cannot pass basic English grammar and composition, instead wasting valuable time and money in remedial English classes. In college! The trend, due to this discrepancy, has been that in metropolitan areas, basic literacy has been the goal, rather than the starting point! For many schools, maintaining enrollment is of greater concern than academic performance! This is of no concern to us: since what we are doing is revolutionary and will attract many students from all over the country, the obsession with "taking roll" will be absent.

Another finding of "A Nation at Risk": that among administrators and "leading" educators: "weakness of purpose, confusion of vision, misuse and underuse of talent, lack of leadership." To be clear: this is the raisson d' etre of the Renaissance Charter School! Each graduate will radiate a confidence of purpose, a mission of academic excellence, and determination to carry the torch for America, and in Kennedy's eternal message: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!"

The mention in the report of the time-honored credo of America's teachers: "dedication, at all odds, that keeps teachers serving, even as rewards diminish"....has fallen victim to the abuse and scandalous treatment of our top educators, often serving as nothing more than glorified baby sitters. The statistics are shocking: the attrition rate of our most idealistic teachers is a mere 7 years! Paradoxically, study after study indicate that teachers cite the lack of administration support as the number one cause of their flight from the classroom....money was not even mentioned, even when it was literally a cruel joke in sustainability for the best and brightest. To that end, the Renaissance school will seek to pay its educators what they are worth, have their back, instead of cynically shoving them through the demeaning meat grinder of political correctness.

Our biggest advantage at the Renaissance school will be the cherishing and cultivating of the English language, grammar, vocabulary, and composition. We want every graduate to be an example of the very concept of American exceptionalism...and it starts with having pride in one's own language! That shall include the long-lost skill of penmanship. While this will reflect our core values, there shall also be opportunities, and requirements, to take either Spanish, French, or German. We are not just flouting renaissance concepts, we're living them. Classical music and its appreciation will be introduced, and students will be familiar with basic European historical and cultural trends. We shall never again be shamed by hearing that our students are confusing Germany with a country in Africa...or that Goethe was the name of a rap group....

We expect that our revolutionary approach will be seen as a life raft for African-American and hispanic children held hostage by damnable inner city bedlam. Those who yearn for true academic freedom and excellence, will shun the usual culprits of government run schools: affirmative action, "diversity" and other frivolous ethnic pride pablum. Instead, a new wind of individual freedom through performance and goals achieved will permeate our campus.

Needless to say, a man is a mind with a physical body. Our goal will be to contract the best coaches and build athletes that will bring home the gold! Community and student pride will be built on a holistic foundation of the mind, body, and spirit.

It is not enough for an outstanding, nationally recognized academic institution to be satisfied with mere academic excellence. It is our goal to fashion leaders, statesmen. and individualism that will lead to the betterment of America. We expect nothing less than members of Congress to be populated from the ranks of our institution...

To the naysayers and cynics, we say: the existence of The Renaissance Charter School is long overdue! In those historic words of President Reagan: "No dream or endeavor is beyond our reach. After all.....we're Americans!"

Thank you for your support and encouragement as we pave new roads into a total renaissance of American education.

God bless you all!

Few authors in the last decades have stirred a heated debate like Bat Ye’or. To her work we owe the entrance into the market of ideas of terms such as “dhimmitude” and “Eurabia”, both essential to understand the political nature of Islam, its treatment of non-Muslim minorities and the political-economic axis built in the Seventies between Europe and the Arab world. It is due to this scheme which developed in phases and culminated with the oil crisis of 1973, that Europe sold out Israel to Arab interests. With clear precision, indicating one after the other episodes, irrefutable documents and public declarations, Bat Ye’or has showed how postwar and post Holocaust Europe, progressively made anti-Semitism still practicable in the guise of philo-Phalestinism.

L’informale has met her recently during her journey to Italy where she was a guest at a conference in Turin.

In your seminal book Eurabia you have explained how Europe in the Seventies, headed by France, has pursued a specific pro Arab policy explicitly against the interests of Israel. To what extent according to you has antisemitism played a role in all of this?

It is difficult to determine the role of antisemitism among actors in many countries making decisions in a variety of areas. Especially since in post-war Europe it was practically impossible to express anti-Semitic opinions. However, it can be noted that notorious anti-Semites have remained in key positions. Thus, despite the post-war purges, even in the 1960s and 1970s, an influential network of officials, intellectuals and executives who had supported or collaborated with the Nazi and fascist regimes remained in the high positions of the State. For example, Walter Hallstein, who was the first president of the European Commission from 1958 to 1967, was a convinced Nazi, a university lawyer and an SS officer. He had advocated a united Europe under Nazism where the application of the racial laws of Nuremberg would have eliminated all Jewish life – a Nazi Europe economically united with the Arab world. Hans Globke, co-author of the Nuremberg Laws, was advisor to Chancellor Adenauer and his eminence grise. This situation existed throughout Western Europe. These circles promoted a European alliance with the Arab countries where Nazi criminals had taken refuge. Converted to Islam, they held important positions in Syria and Egypt in the war against Israel. Let us not forget that since the 1930s a strong ideological and political alliance based on a common anti-Semitism united Fascism and Nazism with the Arab-Muslim peoples. This active anti-Israeli but discreet Euro-Arab core gained importance after 1967 thanks to the pro-Arab French policy. From that moment, under the patronage of the Quai d’Orsay, a speech worthy of Goebbels emerges with regard to the State of Israel. Despite these networks, however, European public opinion and the governments of that time – except France – were not anti-Semitic. It was the Arab League which imposed after the Yom Kippur War of October 1973 on the European Community an anti-Semitic political strategy anticipating the eradication of the State of Israel, as it is possible to see at the Conference of Arab Heads of State in Algiers which took place from the 26th to the 29th of November 1973. For this purpose it used the oil weapon by prohibiting its sale to all countries friends of Israel. The oil embargo would be canceled only under the following conditions: first, the recognition of a previously unknown Palestinian people and of Yasser Arafat as its only representative, second, the Islamization of Jerusalem and third, Israel’s retreat on the armistice lines of 1949. Abba Eban, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time, called these lines “the Auschwitz borders”, that is to say those of the Final Solution because they placed Israel in a mortal danger. France was not struck by the embargo. In 1969 it had opened a PLO office in Paris after having adopted in 1967 an anti-Israeli policy. According to Arab analyst Saleh A. Mani, a convergent Euro-Arab policy vis-à-vis Israel was conceived by France with Muammar Gaddafi before the 1973 war. In two declarations in November and December 1973, to the astonishment of the U.S.A, the Nine subjugated to the demands of the Arab League. These decisions mark the beginning of a European alliance policy with the PLO whose goal, known to all, was to destroy Israel. European support for the Arab war against Israel has led to a movement of de-legitimization and defamation of the Jewish state imposed by the European states on their populations on the political, social and cultural level and aiming to replace Israel with Palestine. The anti-Semites engaged in this movement, now legal and promoted by the States.

The recent Unesco resolutions of 2016 and 2017 have symbolically expropriated Israel in Jerusalem of the Western Wall and the Temple Mount and in Hebron of the Tomb of the Patriarchs. Isn’t this part of one precise strategy, the effacement of Jewish memory from Palestine in order to replace it entirely with Islamic history?

Exactly, that’s precisely the goal. This strategy was already implicit in the decisions of the European Community in 1973 when it demanded the retreat of Israel on the lines of 1949 and the Islamization of Jerusalem. Bear in mind that the war of 1948-49 was triggered by Arab countries and Arabs in Palestine assisted by Muslim soldiers of the fascist and Nazi armies of the Second World War. During this war the Arab countries took East Jerusalem and territories in Judea and Samaria, which they colonized and Islamized by throwing out the Jewish inhabitants. Europe did not protest against the Arab acquisition of territories by war and for the expulsion of their Jewish inhabitants. From 1949 to 1967, no Palestinian people appeared in these territories to reclaim their state. The anti-Israeli policy of the European Community decided in 1973 was reaffirmed by the EC at its meeting with the PLO in its Venice Declaration of June 1980. By this step, the EC wanted to restore fruitful economic relations with the Arab countries which had broken after the separate Israeli-Egyptian peace that the European countries could not prevent. The denial of the historical rights of Israelis in their country and the erasure of their religious and cultural memory confirms the Islamic version and interpretations of biblical history. The Qur’an states that all Hebrew biblical characters, including Jesus, were Muslims. Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, helped by European historians, have continued to appropriate the history of the Jewish people. The suppression by Europe of the history and memory of the people of Israel also erases that of Christianity, its identity and its legitimacy because Christianity is rooted in Judaism. And if Judaism is an aberration or the falsification of Islam, so is Christianity. European states – which in principle are Christian – agree to Islamize the sources of their theology and religious identity, out of hatred for Israel.

In the last years we have seen more and more the development of a narrative whose core is that Islam has strongly contributed to the coming about of Europe. At the same time in the introduction of the European Constitution there is no mention to the Jewish-Christian roots of Europe. The actual pope never loses a chance to say that Islam is a religion of peace and that if there are violent Muslims there are also violent Christians. What do you make of all of this?

This narrative about the predominant Islamic influence on European science comes from two sources: one Arab and the other European, both political. Experts have shown that it has no historical base because the roots of the current European civilization are Judeo-Christianity, Greece, Rome and the Enlightenment. The Arab-Muslim source is a response, from the years 1920-30, to the confrontation of Muslim countries with the modern progress of European civilization. This superiority of the world of disbelief is humiliating and unacceptable for Islam, which by this cultural claim attributes all its merits to itself. This being said, it is clear that there were loans here and there, as there were from Hindus and Chinese. They are normal reciprocal exchanges between peoples and civilizations but they are not fundamental elements. It is true that the civilizations of antiquity in the East influenced those later in Europe. But these pagan civilizations, three thousand years before our era, owe nothing to Islam, which came much later, nor to Arabia, geographically isolated by its deserts. This statement is also a way for Muslim immigrants to assert an ancient cultural and scientific presence of Islam in Europe and to claim political and religious rights in countries where they emigrate. The European source comes from the Mediterranean policy whose aim is to unite the two shores of the Mediterranean by strategic and cultural integration. It adopts the flattering language of the courtier toward Arab potentates and always tries to appease Muslim sensibilities in particular by a specious historical similarity of Islam and Judaism. This source does not recognize Judeo-Christianity because Muslims are offended. To ease the integration of millions of Muslim immigrants, Europe is giving up its roots. In 2000 the French deputy Jean-Louis Bianco discussed the topics on this subject in the Drafting Committee of the European Charter. The French government negotiator, Guy Braibant, having asked “what conclusions could the millions of European Muslims draw” if the charter referred to Christian values, the case was closed. The pope is right in saying that violence exists everywhere. But we are not talking about individual violence, we are talking about a religious political system advocating war and accepting only temporary truces with non-Muslims. To my knowledge Jihad, religious war of planetary conquest, exists only in Islam. Without wishing to minimize the periods of Islamic tolerance or the attempts of some monarchs to modernize Islamic conceptions, one must recognize that jihadist ideology justifies terror, fanaticism, war and genocide. If we want to create a more fraternal humanity, we must openly discuss the aims and laws of jihad. We will help progressive Muslims who courageously fight this struggle.

In its charter of 1989 Hamas explicitly states that all of Palestine is a perennial Islamic waqf. This is very consistent with the Islamic idea that once a land is conquered by Islam it belongs to it forever. What is your opinion about this?

The opinion of Hamas is in accordance with the laws of the Islamic war of conquest. Any non-Muslim country conquered by Islam becomes a waqf, an endowment for all Muslims. It is not only the lands conquered from the disbelieving peoples that constitute a waqf but the entire planet which is destined by Allah to become a waqf managed by the caliph for the Muslims. It is this belief which determines the obligation of universal conquest which is incumbent on every Muslim, possibly by war. A fortiori, none of the countries that were already Islamized can return to their former owners. This argument applies not only to Israel but to all the countries of Europe, Asia and Africa which, conquered and Islamized by jihad, became a waqf. The concept of waqf appeared for the first time in Islam during the Arab conquest of Mesopotamia, Sawad, around 636 in a discussion between the Caliph Omar ibn al-Khattab and his military commanders, about lands and conquered peoples . The idea of a waqf managed by the caliph for all Muslims was proposed by Ali, the future caliph. The establishment of the waqf in land law over all the countries removed from the disbelieving peoples has prohibited, with few exceptions, land division and private property, which explains the lack of property rights of the villagers in Ottoman Palestine and the Mandate. But Hamas’s opinion contains a contradiction. If Palestine is a waqf land then Palestinians have never owned land parcels demarcated according to a land register. If they owned plots then Palestine is no longer a waqf land. Hamas is theoretically right in terms of the right of Islamic conquest until the British mandate that abolished this right in 1917 in Palestine. Today, the West faced with a global jihad, must question the moral basis of jihad and if its laws of Islamization of land conquered from other peoples, may be universally applicable even in Europe. In 1973 Europe imposed them to Israel by calling Judea-Samaria occupied Arab lands after the expulsion of all Jews. Its recent decrees on the signaling of products from these territories indicate that Europe adopts the laws of jihad and sharia regarding Israel.

The vilification of Israel has gone on for fifty years now. The unexpected and stunning Israeli victory in the Sixth Day War has never been forgiven by the Arabs and the Muslim world. To what extent has Europe contributed to this vilification, and why?

The Muslim world had not accepted Israel since 1948 and before. It was to destroy Israel that the Egyptian-Syrian and Transjordan coalition attacked it in 1967. Palestinian terrorism and the boycott of oil forced Europe to submit to Arab conditions. In 1973 the support for the PLO became an indispensable structural element of the Euro-Arab Mediterranean policy. Anti-Semitism, defamation, incitement to hatred and delegitimization of Israel became a source of profits for Europe and formed an immovable base that conditioned its economic, industrial, commercial and cultural exchanges with the Arab world. The European decision to support the PLO in order to build a strategy of union with the Arab-Muslim world of the Mediterranean – Eurabia – has requested the conditioning of the European public opinion, by universities, media and culture, in the name of a policy that morally justified the eradication of the Jewish state. The Arab world claims from Europe the creation of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. Israel’s resistance to its suicide demanded by the European Union exacerbates tensions. Europe is paying billions to Palestinians, UNRWA and NGOs spreading hatred of Israel on a global scale, so it has contributed greatly to anti-Semitism. The motives for this campaign are only oil, economic profits, and a virulent anti-Semitism of European stock disguised as humanitarian policy.

Israel is the only Western country in the Middle East. Today, in the company of those Arabs and Muslims who loathe it, we find radical leftists , third world lovers, and of course extremists from the right. The common denominator of this hatred is not only Israel but the West of which Israel is a symbol. Do you agree?

Geographically Israel is not a Western country. It is a democracy, a legal Hebrew state that shares fundamental values with the West because of their biblical and common secular heritage. Remember that all churches have a Bible and that without Judaism, Christianity would not exist. In the secular field, the contribution of the Jewish diaspora to Western civilization in terms of law, culture, science and social solidarity is an additional common element. In Islam, the hatred of the Jew and the Christian are inseparable. From the beginning, the Arab-Islamic and Turkish world tried to destroy and Islamize the Christian kingdoms. This jihadist war that Europe does not want to recognize, led today by the pen, the corruption of the elites, terrorism and the destruction of its identity, has lasted for thirteen centuries. If we had opened a debate on these realities, we could have emptied the abscess and encouraged the emergence of an Islam freed from the fanaticism of the past. Many Muslims claimed it because not all are jihadists. The leftists and the third-worldists, survivors of totalitarian ideologies, join by interest the Arab and Moslem movements hostile to the West and to Israel.

While Israel is considered by a consistent minority of the Western world as a rogue state and antisemitism is often justified by declaring it is the effect of Israel’s policy towards Palestinian Arabs (which is another way to say that the victims deserve what they get), Islam is the only religion in the West which benefits of a sort of ironclad protection against criticism. What are the main reasons of this attitude?

Western states are perfectly aware of the dangers of criticizing Islamic laws. The concept of an uncreated Quran, that is to say a text consubstantial with the divine eternity, prohibits under the accusation of blasphemy any criticism of the laws rooted in it. The ban on criticizing Islam in the West aims to spare the susceptibility of immigrant populations who are not accustomed to the political freedoms and expression of our democracies. This prohibition do not prevents violent criminal reactions such as the assassination of Theo Van Gogh in Holland, among others, and the retaliation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation which brings together 56 Muslim countries. The OIC demands from European states that hasten to obey them, severe measures punishing Europeans guilty of “Islamophobia”. I describe this situation in “Europe, Globalisation and the Coming Universal Caliphate”. It is true that the criticism of Islam poses a problem: it undermines Europe’s Euro-Arab merging policy and provokes conflicts between Europeans and tens of millions of Muslim immigrants. States are obliged to enforce the public peace between different religions and populations. Prisoner of this dilemma, the EU, encouraged by the OIC, reinforces against its populations its repressive arsenal punishing “Islamophobia”, thus violating the freedom of expression and opinion.

Europe is old and Israel is young. In Europe the birth rate has gone dramatically down in the last decades while in Israel it has been steadily rising. In Italy, just to take an example, the birth rate is 1,3, while in France is 2,0. In Israel it is 3,11. Israel, a country surrounded by enemies who wants its destruction, is projected toward the future, while Europe, which is in a much more favorable situation, seems not to believe any longer in the future. How do you explain this paradox?

There are several reasons for this European decline. Governments have not sufficiently encouraged a family-friendly policy that would free the mother from the combination of domestic and external work. But it is above all the hedonistic and enjoyable nature of our societies, a deliberate suppression of values, an education that generalizes skepticism, that incites young people to refuse the obligations, duties and sacrifices related to commitments and procreation. But we must not exaggerate, our European societies harbor treasures of generosity and solidarity. Israel represents a united people despite its scattering in different countries and who could survive everywhere thanks to the solidarity of its members. After the destruction of Judea by the Romans in 135, Jewish communities in exile gave themselves rules to survive among hostile populations. I cannot explain the strength of Israel’s hope, perhaps it comes from the existential problems required by these exceptional people who live in the permanence of the dialogue with God.

Regarding the violence in Islam, one of the main scholarly distinction made is that between Islam and Islamism. In this view Islamism is just Islam gone astray. What is your opinion?

This statement is part of the misleading speech of Europe, which has been in denial since its 1973 agreements. The Muslims themselves refute it. The Islamic violence that we see today, which is terrorizing many Muslims and Islamic states, has recurrently manifested itself in history because it conforms to Islamic law. The evolution of Muslim ideas and societies in the twentieth century attenuated or suppressed the most rigorous commandments. Today many intellectuals, and political leaders like Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sissi and even Saudi Arabia are demanding religious authorities an updating. The EU and Barak Obama’s government have not accompanied or supported this revolutionary and courageous movement that could totally change international relations and bring peace, security and economic development to these countries. Obama and the EU collaborated on the so-badly appointed Arab Spring and the rise of radical movements.

The Islamic terror group Hamas has turned the Gaza Strip into a place of fear and death. Part of the reason why Israel has not carpet-bombed Gaza into the sand is possibly because the Israeli Government know exactly what Hamas are like and what they are doing to the people of Gaza. To carpet-bomb Gaza, although militarily the best way of clearing the terror from Gaza, would also make casualties of many people who are probably more scared of Hamas than they are of the Israeli military. It would be morally wrong to kill those Gazans who only support Hamas because they are living under the terrible dictatorship of Hamas.

During the Israeli military operation against Hamas, Operation Protective Edge, the Islamic terrorists who control Gaza engaged in a massive propaganda campaign to present both Hamas and the people of Gaza as nothing more than innocent victims of an Israeli aggressor. To those who are not brainwashed by the Left, or who get most of their news from the BBC, this was plainly untrue. Some of us expected that sometime after the end of Operation Protective Edge that there would be emerging some stories that ran counter to the Hamas narrative. That expectation has proved to be true with Gazans starting to speak about the constant fears they have about Hamas violence and Hamas oppression.

This article from Front Page Magazine will give the reader some flavour of how terrible it is to live under the savages of Hamas.

““If Hamas does not like you for any reason all they have to do now is say you are a Mossad agent and kill you.” — A., a Fatah member in Gaza.

“Hamas wanted us butchered so it could win the media war against Israel showing our dead children on TV and then get money from Qatar.” — T., former Hamas Ministry officer.

“They would fire rockets and then run away quickly, leaving us to face Israeli bombs for what they did.” — D., Gazan journalist.

“Hamas imposed a curfew: anyone walking out in the street was shot. That way peoplehad to stay in their homes, even if they were about to get bombed. Hamas held the whole Gazan population as a human shield.” — K., graduate student

“The Israeli army allows supplies to come in and Hamas steals them. It seems even the Israelis care for us more than Hamas.” — E., first-aid volunteer.

“We are under Hamas occupation, and if you ask most of us, we would rather be under Israeli occupation… We miss the days when we were able to work inside Israel and make good money. We miss the security and calm Israel provided when it was here.” — S., graduate of an American university, former Hamas sympathizer.

While the world’s media has been blaming Israel for the death of Gazan civilians during Operation Protective Edge, this correspondent decided to speak with Gazans themselves to hear what they had to say.

They spoke of Hamas atrocities and war crimes implicating Hamas in the civilian deaths of its own people.

Although Gazans, fearful of Hamas’s revenge against them, were afraid to speak to the media, friends in the West Bank offered introductions to relatives in Gaza. One, a renowned Gazan academic, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that as soon as someone talked to a Western journalist, he was immediately questioned by Hamas and accused of “communicating with the Mossad”. “Hamas makes sure that the average Gazan will not talk to Western journalists — or actually any journalists at all,” he said, continuing:

“Hamas does not want the truth about Gaza to come out. Hamas terrorizes and kills us just like Daesh [ISIS] terrorizes kills Iraqis. Hamas is a dictatorship that kills us. The Gazans you see praising Hamas on TV are either Hamas members or too afraid to speak against Hamas. Few foreign [Western] journalists were probably able to report what Gazans think of Hamas.”

When asked what Gazans did think of Hamas, he said:

“The same as Iraqis thought of Saddam before he was toppled. He still won by 90-something percent in the presidential elections. If Hamas falls today in Gaza, people here will do what Iraqis did to Saddam’s statue after he fell. But even though Western journalists may not have been able to speak freely with Gazans, they still need a story to send to their editor by the end of the day. So it is just easier and safer for them to stick to the official line.”

“What was that,” I asked: “‘Blame Israel’?”

“I don’t know about that,” he said. “More like, ‘Never blame Hamas!’. Hamas was making a ‘statement’: Opposing Hamas Means Death. Hamas is a dictatorship that kills us.”

The growing realisation that Hamas do not have the best interests of the Gazan on the street at heart, will not cause an instant love in for Israel from the Gazans but many of them have had enough of what one interviewee said was ‘Hamas’s hallucinations’.

Another former Hamas sympathiser said:

““Don’t get fooled. Gazans are not in love with Israel yet, but they do not want to fight Israel anymore. We do not want to embrace Israel; we just want to live normally without wars. We want to live and work in Israel like we used to. We are under Hamas occupation, and if you ask most of us, we would rather be under Israeli occupation, instead. I would welcome Netanyahu to rule Gaza so long as Hamas leaves, and I think most Gazans feel the same way. We miss the days when we were able to work inside Israel and make good money, we miss the security and calm Israel provided when it was here, but politically speaking, we just think of it as the better of two evils: Israel and Hamas.”

Never has a statement made it more clear that the Arabs whose families were displaced after 1948 deserve much better leadership than they are getting. If it had not been for Hamas and all the rest of the Islamic alphabet soup of hate groups, that have afflicted the Arabs for all these years, Gaza could have been a form of Singapore on the Med. Surely that is better than living in fear of Hamas or living in fear of the righteous retaliation of Israel?

For decades the Arabs of the Levant area that encompasses Israel have chosen death or groups that fetishise death, if they want peace then now is the time for them to choose life.

Whenever Israel is attacked by terrorist movements and needs to defend itself, “leftist” and Islamist organizations organize anti-Israel protests in Paris. One of the latest took place on July 13.

The event brought together between 10,000 and 30,000 people — not surprising in a country where “leftist” and Islamist organizations are strong.

The demonstrators shouted hateful and violent slogans against Israel and held Israeli flags on which swastikas replaced the Star of David — also not surprising. Events organized by “leftists” and by Islamists usually carry such gear.

The demonstrators also shouted purely anti-Semitic slogans; the call for “Death to Jews” was picked up by the crowd. This was the first time since the end of World War II that explicitly anti-Semitic chants were shouted by a large crowd in Paris (During a demonstration in January, protesters shouted, “Jews, France does not belong to you”).

Demonstrators shouted, “Hamas will win,” in support of the jihadist terrorist organization. This was also the first time that slogans openly favoring a jihadist terrorist organization were shouted by a large crowd in Paris (During earlier demonstrations, protesters shouted “Palestine will win,” but did not point to Hamas).

Demonstrators also shouted slogans in favor of a man who had murdered Jewish children: “We are all Mohamed Merah.” Merah shot and killed a rabbi and three Jewish children at close range in a schoolyard in Toulouse in 2012; it was the one of the most serious anti-Semitic acts committed in France since the Vichy regime. This was the first time in France that a large crowd proudly identified with a murderer of Jewish children.

The demonstration started in the 18th Arrondissement of Paris (metro station Barbès Rochechouart), close to where Islamic preachers organized street prayers a few months ago; it ended near Place de la Bastille. Dozens of windows of Jewish shops and restaurants along the route were broken and covered with yellow labels saying, “boycott Israel”. This was the first time that so many Jewish shops and restaurants were attacked during a demonstration in Paris.

In addition, several hundred protesters armed with iron bars, machetes, axes and firebombs, arriving Place de la Bastille, marched to the nearby Don Isaac Abravanel Synagogue on rue de la Roquette. They shouted, “Let’s slay the Jews,” “Hitler was right,” and “Allahu Akbar”.

Only six police officers were on hand, who were quickly overwhelmed. Members of Jewish defense organizations protected the 200 Jews present inside the synagogue. Even after police reinforcements arrived, the synagogue was besieged for nearly two hours. The Jews, prisoners of a potentially lethal horde, were locked inside.

At another nearby synagogue on rue des Tournelles, rioters threw Molotov cocktails and looted the place. When the vandals continued their looting to rue des Rosiers, the heart of the Jewish quarter of Paris, the police struggled to stop them.

This was the first time since World War II that an anti-Semitic pogrom took place in France.

In an attempt to address the distress of the Jewish community, the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, denounced anti-Semitism in general terms. He said he would strengthen the protection of “places of worship,” synagogues and mosques — although no mosque was attacked.

Although the government banned the next demonstration, scheduled for July 19, it took place anyway, and soon turned into a riot.

When thousands of protesters gathered again at the Barbès Rochechouart metro station, the presence of significant police forces prevented protesters from crossing Paris. Organized groups then attacked the police by throwing stones, Molotov cocktails and by using iron bars. Shops were looted. Garbage cans were burned. Bus stations, dozens of them, and billboards were destroyed. Protesters came with pickaxes and ripped the pavement on several streets to throw chunks of asphalt.

Demonstrators tried to burn down the largest textile store in Paris, near Barbès Rochechouart, because it carries a Jewish name, Dreyfus-Marché Saint Pierre. Clashes with police near this store were particularly violent.

Witnesses spoke of the atmosphere of a civil war, and photographers spoke of a “French intifada”.

The slogans shouted by the rioters were the same as the previous week: “Death to Jews” mingled with “Death to Israel” and “Long live Hamas.” Many who threw stones and Molotov cocktails shouted, “Allahu Akbar,” just as the attackers of the synagogue on July 13 had done.

Even though there were no synagogues or Jews nearby, and no protester shouted, “Let’s slay the Jews” or “Hitler was right,” what happened in Paris on July 19 was as frightful as what had happened the week before.

This was also not the first time that a district of a French city was immersed in an atmosphere of civil war. In October 2005, entire neighborhoods in the suburbs of several major cities were set on fire. In 2010, two districts of Grenoble, in southeast France, were on fire for several days. In May 2013, the Trocadéro area in Paris was ransacked, and two months later, the city of Trappes, near Versailles, experienced hours of insurrection. Dozens of cars and shops were burned. The police precinct was attacked and under siege for hours.

The riots this month were, however, the first time that demonstrations resembling a civil war were carried by people who showed an explicit hatred of Jews and who said they identified with jihadi terrorists. This was the first time that riots in France looked like an Islamic uprising.

Although the events of July 13 and 19 had the support of “leftists” organizations, the vast majority of demonstrators and rioters were Muslims. The majority of the women wore Islamic headscarves. Most men wore a keffiyeh, the checkered Arab scarf, and used it to hide their faces the way Islamists do in the Middle East.

Many protesters on July 13 and 19 came with Palestinian flags, but the flags of Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda and Islamic State [IS], also present, were proudly waved.

The day after the riots, July 20, Prime Minister Manuel Valls again denounced the “danger of anti-Semitism”. July 20th was also the anniversary of the “Vel d’Hiv Round-up” — the mass arrest of Jews in Paris in 1942 by the French police under the supervision of the Nazis. But Valls said nothing about the anti-Semitic and jihadist dimension of the riots. Some conservative politicians criticized the lack of firmness of the government. Leaders of the rightist National Front said that the government was responsible for the violence and had undermined “freedom of expression.”

At the exact moment Manuel Valls spoke, rioters started to ransack the suburb with the largest Jewish population on the outskirts of Paris: Sarcelles. All the Jewish stores and many cars were wrecked or set on fire. A group shouting “Allahu Akbar” again tried to burn the town’s synagogue. Again, most rioters were Muslim. Again, most shouted, “Death to the Jews.”

All French politicians are ready to condemn anti-Semitism in general terms (except members of the National Front); none are ready to call the anti-Semitism that is exploding in France today by its name: Islamic anti-Semitism.

All French politicians, left or right (except members of the National Front), have the same attitude about what happened on July 13, 19 and 20. This attitude can be summed up in one sentence, used by the French President, François Hollande: “The Israeli-Palestinian conflict cannot import itself into France.” No French politician would dare say that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is already present in France, and that, among Muslim populations, Islamic anti-Semitism is inextricably mixed with an absolute hatred of Israel and Jews.

Almost all French politicians adopt an attitude of appeasement toward the enemies of Israel and Jews. They never define Hamas as an Islamic terrorist organization. They close their eyes to the anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish hate speech disseminated by the enemies of Israel in the Middle East, and to the irony that France finances that speech. They act as if they did not see that the hate speech France finances in the Middle East is now spreading throughout France.

The major French media have not said a word about the anti-Semitism and jihadism that permeated the protest of July 13 and the riots of July 19 and 20. All major French television reports of these events presented the protesters and rioters as people who had just wanted to support the “liberation of the Palestinian people”. All reports major French television reports on Israel’s war against Hamas are made from the point of view of Hamas or the Palestinian Authority. No report speaks of Hamas’s genocidal Jew hatred or of the use of Arab women and children as human shields. Journalists from major French media outlets act as if they did not know that by adopting a watered-down vision of the protesters and rioters in France, and by describing the war from the point of view of Hamas or the Palestinian Authority, they are playing a dangerous game that could lead to more pogroms and even civil war.

The attitude of French politicians reflects the sorry state of French society. All the riots that erupted in France during the last decade were the result of minor incidents, but showed that France is on the verge of a large-scale explosion. French politicians want to avoid a large-scale explosion. They are scared and paralyzed.

French politicians also know that France’s Muslim population now amounts to 15% of its total population and that radical Islamist organizations are particularly well established. The Union of Islamic Organizations of France (UOIF), the French branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, is the main French Muslim organization; it attracts tens of thousands of people in each of its annual meetings and openly lends political support to Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. French politicians do not want a confrontation with the UOIF.

French politicians also know that more than 750 neighborhoods in France are considered “no go zones” by the police, and that the authorities have lost control of them.

They also know that 70% of all inmates in the French prison system are Muslim , and that self-proclaimed imams and gang leaders have taken over many prisons. They know that these prisons have been transformed into recruiting centers for jihadists, and that regaining control of these prisons is an almost impossible task. Mohamed Merah and Mehdi Nemmouche, the Brussels Jewish Museum killer, became jihadists while in French prisons.

French politicians know, as well, that more than 800 French Muslims are being trained in the Islamic State, in Iraq and Syria.

They know that Muslims vote. Eight million Muslims clearly have greater political weight than do four hundred thousand Jews.

The major French media are also scared and paralyzed. Criticizing radical Islam on French television is now almost impossible. Organizations fighting “Islamophobia” are extremely vigilant and extremely well funded.

Defending Israel on French television is also almost impossible. Members of the Israeli government are never interviewed on French television. Representatives of Palestinian and “pro-Palestinian” organizations are regularly invited and can lie without ever being contradicted.

Reports on right-wing anti-Semitism are abundant. Reports on Islamic Jew-hatred are non-existent.

The Global Anti-Semitism Index recently published by the Anti Defamation League shows that 37% of the French population can be considered anti-Semitic. It is likely that the proportion of anti-Semites among French Muslims is far higher.

A poll for the BBC in 2012 showed that 75% of the French have a negative view of Israel. It is likely that the proportion among French Muslims is, again, far higher.

The prevalent sentiment among French Jews is that a page has been turned. The French Jewish philosopher Shmuel Trigano wrote on July 16th that what is happening is a sign that Jews must leave France, fast. “Recent events are likely to play the role that such events have played in the past for the Jews in many countries: a strong symbolic event gives the signal that the Jews have no future in the country that was theirs”.

The prevalent sentiment among French people in general was described by a survey published in January 2014: 74% of the French declared themselves “pessimistic” or “very pessimistic” about the future of the country. 63% said they believe that Islam is “not compatible with the values of a democratic society.” 78% said they “distrust” all politicians. 77% said they consider that the information provided by the media is “unreliable.”

The words of most of the French politicians could not have strengthened the confidence the French have in their politicians.

The behavior of most French journalists could not have increased the credibility the French have in their media.

And the events that took place in Paris on July 13, 19 and 20 could not have made the French less pessimistic and more confident about the compatibility of Islam with the values of democracy.

Most recently, on July 23, an anti-Israeli protest was organized in Paris. This time, the protest was not banned. It brought together 10,000-20,000 people. 15,000 police officers were present. Thirty socialist MPs were present among the protesters. The media said it was a “peaceful protest.” People shouted, “Hamas, Jihad, Resistance.” Nazi-era anti-Semitic cartoons appeared on large panels. Again, groups of protesters finished their day at the rue des Rosiers and attacked Jewish shops. Some “peaceful protest”.

On July 21, Meyer Habib, a MP representing French citizens living in Israel, said that “an atmosphere of Kristallnacht” spreads over the country. Many French Jews agree.

Avraham Asher Hasno, 54, of Kiryat Arba, was run over by a truck with Palestinian Authority (PA) license plates near Hevron and killed Tuesday. The driver later turned himself over to PA police and said he had struck Hasno accidentally. There is no dispute over the fact that the truck hit Hasno, who had gotten out of his car and was wielding a club, after Arabs threw rocks at his car at the Al Fawar junction.

However, Arutz Sheva's analysis of Reuters photographs from the scene appears to indicate clearly that the driver is lying and that he executed Hasno in cold blood, in clear view of numerous witnesses, who may also be considered accomplices.

One photograph shows the moment at which the truck's front right tire is about to run over Hasno, who is prostrate after having been hit by the truck. The club he held in his hand a split second earlier is still flying through the air. His clothes – jeans and a purple colored shirt – are intact.

Importantly, the truck's tires are pointing rightward (the cameraman's left), and the driver also appears to be steering to the right.

The second photo also shows Hasno lying prostrate, right in front of the front right tire, but there are two key differences, compared to the firstphoto:

The first difference is that this time, the tire is pointing to the left.

Secondly, Hasno's clothes have been shredded.

This means he had already been run over by the truck at least once. And yet, he is lying in front of the tire, not behind it, as one would expect if the truck had run him over once, without reversing.

Photo 1 Reuters

The only logical conclusion from the photos appears to be that the driversteered right to hit Hasno, then reversed, and was then preparing to drive over him again, this time with the tires pointing left.

Additional photos from the scene show an unconscious Hasno lying on the road with his shirt completely torn off. This would indicate that thedriver ran over him several times.

Zooming in on the driver's face (below) appears to indicate he was calmly looking in the direction of the cameraman, apparently fully aware of what he was doing.

A blood-chilling sight

The paramedic who treated Hasno at the scene revealed shortly after returning from the incident that he had witnessed a blood-chilling sightwhile performing resuscitation attempts for the victim, which eventually failed as he died of his wounds.

Around the site where he was trying to save Hasno's life, the shocked paramedic said dozens of Arabs were standing around, and they clapped, celebrated and cheered as the victim lay critically wounded and dying on the pavement.

The Arabs celebrated with "cruelty that is hard to describe among human beings."

Hevron-based activist Baruch Marzel revealed that the authorities refused Hasno's request to carry a gun in the past.

If you keep up with the news, you may know how many terror attacks have been perpetrated against Israelis in the last couple of weeks, how many have been murdered or maimed. For myself, I’ve lost count.

Here in Rehovot we’ve been lucky. So far we haven’t experienced what they are undergoing in Jerusalem, or even Ra’anana. There’s still plenty of anxiety. When my daughter was very small and we read her the story of Little Red Riding Hood, she expressed concern about wolves. We reassured her that there were no wolves anywhere near where we lived. “Do they have feet?” she asked. Terrorists have feet, cars, and the ability to ride buses and trains like anyone else.

When something bad happens, we should make it a learning experience. What do we know about this latest murder epidemic and what lessons can be learned?

Some terror attacks seem to be organized by groups like Hamas, and some are spur-of-the-moment attacks by amateur terrorists, young women, university students, municipal employees, telephone installers, and 13-year old boys. All you need to do is take a stout kitchen knife with you in the morning. If you see a Jew, come up behind him and bury it in his neck. Anyone can do it. Someone may shoot you, but martyrdom is part of the appeal.

It seems to be extra points to get a soldier (female soldiers are sometimes softer targets), but visibly religious Jews also seem to be singled out.

Many have noted the cold hatred, the lack of empathy that characterizes the terrorists and those that cheer them on. Odel Bennett, whose husband Aharon was murdered and her son injured in a vicious stabbing attack in the Old City, reported that local Arabs laughed and spat at her as she bled from her wounds.

Some Israelis and other Westerners have difficulty understanding the motivation of the murderers and the apparent ease with which they can approach a stranger and try to slaughter him or her in cold blood. It seems to me that there are three important explanatory factors.

One is ideology, closely intertwined with the second, Islam. And the third is Arab culture.

When Israel made the historic mistake of reintroducing the poisonous PLO and particularly Yasser Arafat into its own body, the very first thing Arafat did was take control of the mosques, media and educational system of the territories. Imams, teachers or journalists were required to follow the PLO line, and anyone who did not was removed. They were instructed to teach the myth of an indigenous ‘Palestinian people’ who were dispossessed from their ancestral land by the subhuman Jews from Europe, and to aspire to the ultimate ‘liberation’ of all of ‘Palestine’.

Part of what they learned is that as an oppressed people they have the right to use any means necessary to achieve liberation. The choice of terrorist violence, peaceful protest, lawsuits, diplomacy or all-out war is entirely based on the efficacy. Whatever works is good.

Every subject taught in the schools, every sermon in the mosques, radio and television programs, summer camps, everything was utilized to carry the message of Palestinian victimization and ultimate vindication, along with generous helpings of anti-Jewish themes taken from Islamic and European sources, and countless stories of how the Jews have stolen from, humiliated, raped and murdered Palestinian Arabs.

Jews are not seen as individuals, with personalities and families. Jews are Zionists or ‘settlers’, representatives of the forces of oppression.

This is what I refer to as ‘ideology’, and you can hear it echoed in the speeches of the Arab members of the Knesset. Every ‘Palestinian’ believes this to a greater or lesser extent, and much of it is taught in Israeli schools in the Arab sector.

The influence of Islam is important: the constant humiliation of Muslims living in a state where the sovereign power is not only non-Muslim but Jewish; the availability of triggers for furious action, like the always-effective lie that “Al-Aqsa is in danger,” which has been used to provoke riots and murder at least since the 1920s; and the appeal of martyrdom, especially for young or especially susceptible Muslims.

Traditional Islamic Jew-hatred is invoked in the mosques of the PA and Hamas, where Jews are dehumanized as descended from apes and pigs. So not only are Jews not individuals, they are not even people.

Today the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and the Islamic Movement in Israel are saying over and over that Israel plans to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque and build a third Temple on its ruins. Some are explicitly calling on Muslims to become martyrs in its defense.

Finally there is the Muslim-Arab culture, with its honor-shame motivators. Every day that an Arab allows the humiliations and thefts to stand takes away from his honor and adds to his shame. The honor must be regained and the shame wiped out – and the only act powerful enough to do this is a violent one, the bloodier the better.

I must also note their familiarity with the slaughter of animals – every year on the holiday of Eid Al-Adha, mass public slaughterings of cows, sheep and goats take place (videos too disturbing to link), and Palestinian children participate in slaughtering animals at home. In general, Palestinian Arabs are exceptionally cruel to animals by Western standards.

We can put this together: the ideology provides a reason for violent acts and a justification for them, Islam ignites their anger and provokes action, and culture demands that the action draw blood. And their particular relationship to slaughter makes plunging a knife into living flesh – especially if that flesh belongs to a being that is less than human – a comfortable, or at least familiar, act.

Westerners, including most Israelis, may be able to understand the ideology, but the religious motivations are harder to grasp, particularly the veneration of martyrdom. The honor-shame concept is also alien in the West. And how many of us have slaughtered an animal with a knife, or could do so?

All this contributes to our latest learning experience.

In 2000-2002, we learned that the Arabs, led by the PLO and Hamas, didn’t want their own state; they wanted ours. In 2005, we learned that withdrawal from any part of the land of Israel brings war and not peace.

In the short term, this uprising will have to be put down by force. There is no one to negotiate with about it. The inciters will have to be stopped as well as the terrorists themselves, something that has never been tried. Maybe now we are beginning to learn how important that is. That’s the first lesson of 2015.

The second lesson, which is nothing new and is really just being reinforced, is that the conflict isn’t about borders or anything concrete. It’s about Arabs denying our right to be here, arrogating our indigenous status and ownership of the land to themselves. It’s about Muslims who won’t live under Jewish sovereignty and who will only tolerate us in a subordinate role. It’s about lost honor that can only be regained by murder.

There is another lesson from all this. That is that there is no way we can change to make it possible to coexist with them. Either they must change or one or the other side will disappear.

I promise it won’t be us.

Seventy years ago British troops entered the German concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen. One of those to witness the horrors first hand was John Darby, who used his Sherman tank to open the gates. This is his story.

On 15 April 1945, shuffling along the road are a dozen or so German officers who, in fractured bursts of English, speak of "prison camp", "disease", "typhus".

John Darby is inside a Sherman tank, travelling in the opposite direction with the British Army's 11th Armoured Division.

The "prison camp" - now nearby - is Bergen-Belsen, near Hannover in Germany.

Inside are piles of rotting corpses and thousands of sick and starving prisoners, kept in severely overcrowded and dirty compounds.

Mr Darby, now 86 and living in the Suffolk market town of Bury St Edmunds, was the first liberator in.

"I went up to the gates," he said, "pushed them open with the tank.

"I was the first there to discover it.

"We knew it was a camp, but it wasn't an extermination camp - but people died and were piled up in beds and round and about like rotten logs of wood, which we could see at a distance.

"We saw young German troops were shooting at prisoners trying to climb over the wire fence, but our colonel started shooting them.

"I shot four. They were burning documents as fast as they could.

"I was standing there keeping an eye on the colonel, who was still shooting these Nazi youth, when I felt something touch my leg.

"I saw a hand and then I saw a face appear and saw these eyes and said 'It's alright love, you're free now'.

"I didn't go any further and radioed the Red Cross medics and when they arrived we were told to move on.

"There weren't a lot of Germans left in the camp, but a lot of them were hung there eventually, I think.

"I cried and I've never forgotten it.

"I tried not to talk about it after the war, but 20 years later I exploded one night - I went potty and didn't know what the heck was happening.

"I went to see the doctor and he said I'd got to talk about it, to get better."
This situation is a perfect example of how the international community and the United Nations do not care about the "plight" of the Palestinians as long as Israel is not involved.
This week, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi signed a new law, according to which anyone who digs a tunnel along Egypt's borders would face life imprisonment.

Sisi has shown real guts and determination in his war to drain the swamps of terrorists.

The tough measures he has taken along Egypt's border with the Gaza Strip have proven to be even more effective than Israel's military operations against the smuggling tunnels.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's uncompromising war on terrorism, especially along the border with the Gaza Strip, seems to be bearing fruit. It is a war that is being waged away from the spotlight and with almost no reaction from the international community.
