It takes a nation to protect the nation
There's been about 70 rallies, of which 30 have had trouble, nearly all due to counter demonstrations.
Of 190 arrests, 74 were EDL and 116 were the opponents (figures from an anti-EDL website).
Of the 74 EDL arrests, 16 were charged, then 7 convicted. The offences were mostly like 'Drunk & Disorderly' or 'Possession of Cannabis'.
There was one prison session - Tommy Robinson - for breaking bail conditions.
Here is the list of demonstrations as reported by the openly biased Wikipedia (who insist that EDL is "far right" when police say they are not, and EDL say they are not, and surveys of the EDL supporters show they are not).
The left know they need to control Wikipedia, just as they know they need to control schooling and the media. Don't be surprised if they also throw their support behind internet censorship.
If being drunk means you are a far right extremist then about 9 million people a week are guilty. The truth of the matter is, no one has been found guilty of being a member of a far right group, and no one has been found guilty of being the member of a banned group. Unlike members of Anjem Choudray's array of extremist groups with which The UAF and SWP have aligned themselves and supported.
Being right wing is a political position, it does not equate that being right wing means your a thug or a member of a paramilitary group. But being right wing means you have to be strong enough to absorb a constant barrage of verbal and physical assaults from fascist groups such as the UAF. These groups act with impunity because they believe they have the support of many high profile political players. And so the UAF run around counter demonstrating causing as much trouble as is possible, and even when their counter demo is nearly two miles from an EDL demo, they still cause trouble blaming the EDL.
The UAF hate free speech so much, that its probably the case they'd smash up Manchester because the EDL were demonstrating in London. The UAF have become a major threat to public order. They cost the public £1000's in policing costs, and all this is done because they believe they have been given the go ahead by our politicians and public figures to stop people from exercising their democratic right to peacefully protest.
If it was not for the groups that were willing to protest publicly this country would changed to something we don't want unopposed. The media has used its power to identify and demonize anyone it can who associates with the EDL, even though it is a perfectly legitimate group. The media is being used to demonize and ruin the lives of anyone who Dares point out that there's a problem with Islam.
We live in a country that is supposed to be a democracy, but that is a lie. We are not allowed the right to discuss legitimate concerns, we are only allowed to agree with a discussion that has been made for us. Any resistance to that is just not tolerated.
The Trouble comes from the Anti-freedom groups. UAF, and SWP, MAC, Hate no hope, are all groups determined to stop the public hearing a different opinion. It is their mission to make everyone believe our future survival depends on embracing a culture that treats Half its people, (women) like second class citizens, and reacts violently to anyone who dares oppose it never ending demands, for death to gays, the beating of women and the killing anyone who is born or converts to Islam, who would like to leave to become a christian, or a Buddhist, or nothing at all.
The people of this country don't want to eat ritually slaughtered meat, we don't want to hide our women behind veils, we don't want to have the Qur'an drummed into our heads, we don't want to prey to Allah or face mecca 5 times a day, we don't want to wear religious gowns, or hang people for being gay, we don't want trapping into a religion/cult that tells you once in you can never get out for fear of death. We do not want ISLAM, and we don't want telling that we do. We are entitled to have a debate, we are entitled to have a say, not just our own futures, but the futures of our children.
The Media and the UAF, supported by politicians and the rest of the ruling elite, are changing our country into a suburb of Saudi Arabia. We don't want it, and and long as we remain within the law we can continue to protest. The problems will start when the freedom to do so is stopped.

You should get that on a big poster on London Buses.
