The 4 Freedoms Library

It takes a nation to protect the nation

Before Kosovo was won for Muslims there was a sustained campaign of economic destruction including the starting of fires which razed forests, churches and monasteries.

This method was described in an Al Qaeda magazine in 2011 posted in part on 4Freedoms.  See here

The speakers in both videos below mention this source also.

Churches were burned on a massive scale recently in Egypt

Forest fires, which is the topic of this article below, need to be considered as economic warfare, therefore should be considered a matter of national security.  The speaker then goes on to speak of defensive measures but does not go far enough, IMO.  If any Society harbours people who are waging warfare, through any means, then the analysis needs to go deeper than just figuring out how to respond to these and other attacks AFTER the fact.

ARE TERRORISTS SETTING U.S. WILDFIRES?

Ex-NSA official: Al-Qaida ignited California blazes

As the 2013 season of devastating wildfires continues to rage across the American West, the question of arson as a form of major terrorism is again being raised.

Already this year, 35,440 reported fires have burned a total of 3.9 million acres, with a quarter-million acres scorched the iconic Yosemite National Park.

Large blazes continue to burn in several states, with six alive in Idaho, five each in California and Montana, and one each in Alaska, Louisiana, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

The National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, says at this time last year, 45,278 fires had burned 7.9 million acres, and in 2011, there were 55,619 fires devastating 7.2 million acres.

In July 2012, William Scott, a former National Security Agency official and Aviation Week editor, told the American Center for Democracy that terrorists are using fire as a tactical weapon of war.

“Perhaps the most simple form of economic warfare is wild land arson,” Scott said in his “Fire Wars” presentation. “That’s just setting fires in U.S. forests [and] grasslands.”

“For any terrorists that are determined to inflict significant damage with very little investment or risk, fire is an extremely high-leverage weapon of mass effect.”

Scott explained that after U.S. Navy SEALs killed al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden, they “captured a treasure trove of material that provided some unprecedented insight into the al-Qaida plans. And one of those was a detailed campaign for starting fires throughout the [American] West.”

“U.S. officials have pretty much determined that some of the fires that burned in California [in 2011] were ignited by al-Qaida operatives,” Scott said.

An editorial in June by the Washington Examiner noted, “Those trying to downplay the threat of terrorism have dismissed such a possibility as paranoid. As Americans learned in 2001, and again as recently as 2012 in Benghazi and 2013 with the Boston Marathon bombing, terrorist threats are not something to take lightly.”

This year’s wildfire in Yosemite started Aug. 17 in the Stanislaus National Forest, but authorities believe it was not an act off terror. They say a hunter’s illegal fire swept out of control, torching 394 square miles of timber, meadows and sensitive wildlife habitat. The Associated Press reports it has cost more than $89 million to fight, and officials say it will cost tens of millions of dollars more to repair the environmental damage alone.

Yosemite National Park has been decimated by fire in the summer of 2013.

As WND reported in June, an expert on Islamic terrorism believes a wildfire that ravaged the outskirts of Colorado Springs, Colo., killing two people and destroying more than 500 homes, should be examined by terror investigators.

“One thing that my investigators have given me the authority to state is that they have all but ruled out natural causes as the cause of this fire,” said Sheriff Terry Maketa at the time. “I can’t really go any further on that, but I can say we are pretty confident it was not, for instance, a lightning strike.”

That single blaze in Colorado caused more than $85 million in damage, but that figure is expected to rise to possibly $120 million.

The causes for most forest fires are limited to electrical problems, out-of-control campfires or grills, accidents such as a car fire and sparks from chain saws or other back-country tools.

Those causes, to an expert investigator, are readily identifiable.

But authorities said they were focusing on a 28-foot square patch where they believe the fire started, examining some portions with a magnifying glass.

At the American Center for Democracy, noted terror funding expert Rachel Ehrenfeld suggested circumstances are a little suspicious.

Ehrenfeld, once targeted by a Saudi official with a foreign lawsuit... was the reason the “Securing the Protection of our Enduring and Established Consti... was adopted by Congress.

It put an end to lawsuits brought in foreign jurisdictions where speech protections do not exist or are not as robust as in the United States which were simply intended to censor or chill speech in the U.S.

“Bill Scott, who’s a senior fellow at ACD, warned about such a scenario last July, speaking at the ACD-EWI Economic Threats briefing on Capital Hill,” Ehrenfeld wrote. “An expert on aerial firefighting, he presented a sobering analysis of the devastating (2012) Waldo Canyon Fire [in Colorado], pointing out that the striking rise [in] Western U.S. wildfires may be caused by elements other than nature.

“He noted that in spring 2012, al-Qaida’s English-language online magazine, Inspire, published an article called ‘It Is of Your Freedom to Ignite a Firebomb,’ which featured instructions on how to build an incendiary bomb to light forests on fire.”

She explained that Russia’s security chief, Aleksandr Bortnikov, also has warned, “Al-Qaida was complicit in recent forest fires in Europe” as part of terrorism’s “strategy of a thousand cuts.”

“Since then, more fatwas advocating that ‘fire is a cheap, easy and effective tool for economic warfare’ have been issued,” Ehrenfeld wrote. “They’ve included detailed instructions for constructing remote-controlled ‘ember bombs, and how to set fires without leaving a trace.’”

Israel’s forests also have been targeted, she noted.

“While many of the fires that have scorched millions of acres and destroyed thousands of homes in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and other states have been identified as arson, none has been publicly attributed to criminal or terrorist groups, despite the presence of Mexican gangs and [a] large number of other illegals in our Western states,” she said.

Mother Jones reported Don Smurthwaite, a Bureau of Land Management spokesman, “downplayed” Ehrenfeld’s ideas, “but he didn’t dismiss the notion outright.”

“We don’t have any hard evidence that any wildfires in the U.S. were started by terrorists in recent years,” he told the publication. “But is it a possibility? Certainly.”

He noted the last confirmed weaponized wildfires were in World War II, when the Japanese sent incendiary balloons across the Pacific.

However, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported al-Qaida was advising would-be terrorists how best to burn America.

The terror group’s magazine included pictures, diagrams and explanations on how to start fires to obtain the most damage.

CBN analyst Erick Stakelbeck said the extreme detail provides reason for concern. The information, he said, is “all designed to cause the maximum amount of carnage and death.”

CBN noted that in the U.S., more houses are built in the countryside than in the cities and cited a Montana fire chief who said the prospect of a wildfire terrorist attack was not farfetched.

WND also reported websites run by jihadis made claims of arson in a number of California wildfires.

WND reported in 2004 that an Arabic-language jihadi website also posted a message purporting to be “al-Qaida’s plan of economic attack” on the U.S. that including proposals to turn the nation’s forests into raging infernos.

The National Terror Alert Response Center report said: “We are NOT implying that the California fires are an act of terrorism; however, the threat of pyro-terrorist attacks pose a significant risk to the U.S. and the fires in California and Greece earlier this year should be a wake-up call.”

Even in 2003, an FBI memo warned that national forests in the West could be the next target for terror by Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida network.

The memo, obtained by the Arizona Republic, warned law enforcement that a senior al-Qaida detainee told interrogators he planned to spark multiple, catastrophic wildfires simultaneously in Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming to strike a blow to the U.S. economy.

WND also reported documents recovered from a remote area along the Pakistan border revealed that bin Laden wanted al-Qaida to launch a “global fireball” by lighting forest fires in Europe, the United States, Australia and South America.

The documents, uncovered during an operation led by the British intelligence service MI6, were described by experts in that agency as “the most worrying [plot] that the world is facing.”

Kinana, your missive re forest "fires" was of course spot on...this is truly war by any means necessary.

It is a useful exercise to think like a terrorist (theoretically):

Going out into a dry forest upwind of a town with a box of matches is easy enough. Going berserk with a knife or gun in a shopping mall. Walking into a school or other public building to commit mass murder. Home-made bombs. The sick mind of the terrorist has countless low tech options. As far as I can see only Muslims consider such acts virtuous.

So how do we defend ourselves? I have to say it again- deport Muslims and deny them entrance to our countries. Every Muslim is potentially a terrorist in a religion where the highest achievement is to die as a martyr while commiting mass-murder.

All that they have to do is to stop being Muslim. Then we can start talking about the brotherhood of man again and not just about the Muslim brotherhood.

The fire bombing technique is fully described in Inspire magazine - see here:

You know, the magazine our government doesnt want us to read, because then we'd realise how vulnerable we are with the enemy in our midst, and there might be a 'backlash'.

Just for information,  Fires ravaging parts of Australia as well.

Theres no evidence as yet that these are anything more than the normally round of fires, accidental, natural and the add mad arsonist, but some of these fires do look VERY deliberate, and the fact that people are starting to think along the lines of Islamic terrorist involvement, shows how much mistrust the world has for Islam.

When ever there's a disaster some where, i think of Islam first. A fire, a bomb a rape a riot a kidnapping, you name it, i'll think Islam. And i'm not the only one. Looks like the 4/5ths of the world that Isn't islamic thinks the same way. Except of cause for our ruling Elite who are convinced we're all stupid, and what we need are more mosques and muslims to fill them.

Where islam meets the rest of the world theres strife and mistrust. Filling up our countries with more of the same is suicide. As Alan says inspire magazine is banned in Britian. But lets face it. If your a member of the untouchable religion of peace intent on killing in the name of your god, your not going to give dam about reading a banned magizine, easily avaiable on the web.

If its proved that Islam is setting fire to the world, what are people going to do. I'll tell you what they'll do, they'll do nothing. Everyone suspects Islam is behind every bad deed on earth and not a thing is done about it. The Buddist's of Thailand and Burma are putting up more of a fight than anyone in Europe with the exception of the EDL. And they are being hammered by the people who's job they're doing.

We are very good at recognising Islam as being dangerous while in the same breath refusing to accept what we believe.

In Britian the tree is king, and if i was to cut just 1 tree down with out very good reason, i'd have the tree hugging pro-abortionist camped outside my house. What will they do if its found that islamic jihadi's have been involved in burning and distroying thousands of Acres of Forest? They'd probably move to the north pole and go seal clubbing!

Al Qaeda calls for attacks inside United States

DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri urged small-scale attacks inside the United States to "bleed America economically", adding he hoped eventually to see a more significant strike, according to the SITE monitoring service.

In an audio speech released online a day after the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 strikes, Zawahri said attacks "by one brother or a few of the brothers" would weaken the U.S. economy by triggering big spending on security, SITE reported.

Western counter-terrorism chiefs have warned that radicalized "lone wolves" who might have had no direct contact with al Qaeda posed as great a risk as those who carried out complex plots like the 9/11 attacks.

"We should bleed America economically by provoking it to continue in its massive expenditure on its security, for the weak point of America is its economy, which has already begun to stagger due to the military and security expenditure," he said.

Keeping America in such a state of tension and anticipation only required a few disparate attacks "here and there", he said

"As we defeated it in the gang warfare in Somalia, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan, so we should follow it with ...war on its own land. These disparate strikes can be done by one brother or a few of the brothers."

At the same time, Muslims should seize any opportunity to land "a large strike" on the United States, even if this took years of patience.

The Sept 11, 2001 attacks, in which hijacked airliners were flown into New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon in Washington and a Pennsylvania field, triggered a global fight against al Qaeda extremists and their affiliates. Almost 3,000 people were killed in the attacks.

In his audio speech, Zawahri said Muslims should refuse to buy goods from America and its allies, as such spending only helped to fund U.S. military action in Muslim lands. He added that Muslims should abandon the U.S. dollar and replace it with the currency of nations that did not attack Muslims.

Zawahri spoke approvingly of one of the worst attacks on U.S. soil since September 11, 2001, the bombing of the Boston Marathon in April, which U.S. authorities say was carried out by two ethnic Chechen Muslim brothers. The attack killed three people and injured 264.

Zawahri sought to paint the bombing as part of al Qaeda's violent transnational campaign of jihad or holy war against U.S. interests, even if it was relatively small-scale.

"The Boston incident confirms to the Americans ... that they are not facing individuals, organizations or groups, but they are facing an uprising Ummah (Muslim community), that rose in jihad to defend its soul, dignity and capabilities."

"What the American regime refuses to admit is that al Qaeda is a message before it was an organization," he said.

Zawahri, suspected by many security specialists to be living in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area, added that the al Qaeda message simply was that if Muslims wanted to live in dignity and "be liberated", then they had to defend their dignity.

Reuters 13.Sept.2013.

«At the same time, Muslims should seize any opportunity to land "a large strike" on the United States, even if this took years of patience.»

Not Islamists but Muslims.

"The Boston incident confirms to the Americans ... that they are not facing individuals, organizations or groups, but they are facing an uprising Ummah (Muslim community), that rose in jihad to defend its soul, dignity and capabilities."

The Muslim community, Muslims also living amongst us.

«the al Qaeda message simply was that if Muslims wanted to live in dignity and "be liberated", then they had to defend their dignity.»

I do not think that there can be any doubt that the majority of Muslims agree with Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri. What he is saying is that every Muslim is our sworn enemy.

Islam sees itself as fighting a war in self defence, that we know is also a war of conquest. Drastic measures have to be taken to protect us from these Muslim freedom fighters. According to Mohammed every Muslim is duty bound to fight until: 08:40 Fight then against them till strife be at an end, and the religion be all of it Allah’s.

Seeing homes go up in flames and economic damage done to the West, of course appeals to the terrorist mentality. Think of any nasty way to damage people or property and the terrorists have thought of it and are prepared to use it.

What about this

The Fire of Moscow (1571) occurred in May of that year when the forces of the Crimean khan Devlet I Giray raided the city Moscow during the Russo–Crimean Wars.

The khan set the suburbs on fire on 24 May and a sudden wind blew the flames into Moscow and the city went up in a conflagration. According to Heinrich von Staden, a German in the service of Ivan the Terrible (he claimed to be a member of the Oprichnina)," the city, the palace, the Oprichnina palace, and the suburbs burned down completely in six hours. It was a great disaster because no one could escape."

People fled into stone churches to escape the flames, but the stone churches collapsed (either from the intensity of the fire or the pressure of the crowds.) People also jumped into the Moscow River to escape, where many drowned. The powder magazine of the Kremlin exploded and those hiding in the cellar there asphyxiated.[3] The tsar ordered the dead found on the streets to be thrown into the river, which overflowed its banks and flooded parts of the town. Jerome Horsey wrote that it took more than a year to clear away all the bodies.

It was one of the most severe fires in the history of the city. Historians estimate the number of casualties of the fire from 10,000 to as many 80,000 people. Foreigners visiting the city before and after the fire have described a noticeable decrease in the city population, and Ivan the Terrible avoided the city for several years after the fire due to the lack of suitable habitation for him and his entourage. The khan's attempt to repeat the raid in 1572 was repelled in the Battle of Molodi

Fire Intifada
Watch: Haifa up in flames

Security forces are dealing with a wave of fires breaking out all over the country. According to official estimates, terror squads are igniting the fires in various areas, and efforts are being made to locate these squads.

Firefighters are working to subdue four fires around the city of Haifa.

Police have ordered the residents of 11 neighborhoods in Haifa, constituting thousands of people, to evacuate their homes and reach the Bat Galim Community Center or the old Qiryat Eliezer soccer stadium.

The Environment Ministry warns of excessive air pollution in Haifa as a result of the fires causing heavy smoke to spread over residential areas. The ministry recommends that people living in the area remain close their houses and airways and heed the rescue service's directives.

Firefighting airplanes are spreading fire-extinguishing materials on houses in these areas and high-voltage wires have been disconnected.

Police say that 17 people have been injured as a result of smoke inhalation so far.

Fires broke out in two areas of the Carmel, causing the evacuation of schools and residents from their homes.

In addition, four firefighting teams are working to subdue renewed intensity of the fire in Talmon in the Binyamin region.

Firefighters said that two cars had erupted in flames and were seriously damaged.

The fire there gained renewed strength after 60 families had been allowed to return to their homes upon being evacuated yesterday.

Over the last day, 220 fires have broken out in different parts of the country, 189 of them in open areas. Firefighting aircraft have flown 107 missions, dropping 50 tons of fire extinguishing materials.

Public Security Minister Gilad Arden said on Tuesday, when the first fires broke out, that forces are working non-stop and that many of the lessons learned in the disastrous Carmel Fire have been implemented, with a central command post leading to rapid evacuations and the closing of roads.

A box of matches is such an obvious weapon. I notice though that even when arson is suspected they do not make even a theoretical connection to islamists in the Western media. The terrorist organizations have instructed Muslims to start fires, as in the magazine Inspire. Dry weather, a forest and a strong wind towards a town, a fire; seems to happen too often. Spain, Greece, California, Australia.

You know, one day Israel is going to have to start deporting Muslims big time.

(I would have equipped them all with tracking implants so that we could keep track of them.)

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom of Movement
The government can import new voters - except where that changes the political demographics (i.e. electoral fraud by means of immigration)
4. SP Freedom from Over-spending
People should not be charged for government systems which they reject, and which give them no benefit. For example, the government cannot pass a debt burden across generations (25 years).
An additional Freedom from Religion is be deducible by equal application of law: "Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight - except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
