Lying and Deceit

The Sources

Qur'an 3.28

Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming.

Qur'an 016.106

Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.

Bukhari (004.052.268)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle called,: "War is deceit".

Sira 458

During the battle of the Trench, Mohammed said to a recent convert, turned spy: ‘You are only one man among us, so go and awake distrust among the enemy to draw them off us if you can, for war is deceit.’

Sira 367

Then he (Kab bin al-Ashraf) composed amatory verses of an insulting nature about the Muslim women. The Apostle said…’Who will rid me of Ibnul-Ashraf?’ Muhammad bin Maslama, brother of the Bani Addu’l-Ashhal, said, ‘I will deal with him for you, O Apostle of God, I will kill him.’ ‘Do so if you can.’… ‘All that is incumbent on you is that you should try… ‘ He (Muhammad bin Maslama) said, ‘O Apostle of God, we shall have to tell lies.’ He (Mohammed, the founder of Islam) answered, ‘Say what you like, for you are free in the matter.’

Bukhari (004.052.267)

The Prophet said, "Khosrau will be ruined, and there will be no Khosrau after him, and Caesar will surely be ruined and there will be no Caesar after him, and you will spend their treasures in Allah's Cause." He called, "War is deceit'. (see also Bukhari 004.052.269)

The Theology

1. War is deceit; 2. Mohammed gives permission to kill critics and to tell lies; 3. By ‘guarding carefully’, means a Muslim should deceive the infidel. Acting as a friend is fine as long as it is to benefit the Muslim and protect Islam.

But what War?

‘Since the beginning of the classical world between the ninth and the eleventh centuries Islamic jurists have divided the world into the "House of Islam" and the "House of War". This division is not dependent on where large numbers of Muslims live, or even represent the majority, but is made according to where Islam rules, in the form of Sharia, and where it does not rule. This dichotomy is therefore not religious but political. And war will reign between these two parts of the world until the House of War no longer exists and Islam rules over the world. (Qur'an 8.39; 9.41).’

Islam teaches the ‘uncompromising division of the world between Muslim and non-Muslim, between Believer and Infidel, who are engaged in a struggle that will not end except in the final triumph of Islam, for it is the duty of Muslims to participate in the struggle to spread Islam, until Islam dominates everywhere, and everywhere Muslims rule.’ Hugh Fitzgerald

Taqiyya and kitman: These are Islamic doctrines of religious deception. They originated in Shiite Islamic defenses against Sunni Islam, but have their roots in the Qurân (3:28 and 16:106). Many radical Muslims today work hard to deceive unbelievers, in line with Muhammad’s statement, ‘War is deceit.’… Religious deception is just one tactic that a devote Muslim will employ in the war with dar al-Harb (the “House of War”).

Al Taqiyya is with tongue only; not the heart. A believer can make any statement as long as the ‘heart is comfortable'. The 9/11 terrorists lived and visited in the United States for two years before the 9/11 attacks. How did they acculturate? By the use of taqiyya. Meaning: I hate you but I smile at you - in public.

‘Taqiyya’ is the religiously-sanctioned doctrine, with its origins in Shia Islam but now practiced by non-Shia as well, of deliberate dissimulation about religious matters that may be undertaken to protect Islam, and the Believers. A related term, of broader application, is ‘kitman,’ which is defined as ‘mental reservation.’

An example of ‘Taqiyya’ would be the insistence of a Muslim apologist that ‘of course’ there is freedom of conscience in Islam, and then quoting that Qur'anic verse – ‘There is no compulsion in religion.’ (2:256). But the impression given will be false, for there has been no mention of the Muslim doctrine of abrogation, or naskh, whereby such an early verse as that about ‘no compulsion in religion’ has been cancelled out by later, far more intolerant and malevolent verses. In any case, history shows that within Islam there is, and always has been ‘compulsion in religion’ for Muslims, and for non-Muslims…

‘Kitman’ is close to ‘Taqiyya’ but rather than out right dissimulation, it consists in telling only a part of; the truth, with ‘mental reservation’ justifying the omission of the rest. One, example may suffice. When a Muslim maintains that ‘jihad’ really means ‘a spiritual struggle,’ and fails to add that this definition is a recent one in Islam (little more than a century old), he misleads by holding back, and is practicing ‘kitman.’ When he adduced, in support of this doubtful proposition, the Hadith in which Mohammed, returning home from one of his many battles, is reported to have said…that he had retuned from ‘the Lesser Jihad to the greater Jihad’ and does not add what he also knows to be true, that this is a ‘weak’ Hadith, regarded by the most respected muhaddithin as of doubtful authenticity, he is further practicing ‘kitman.’

Hugh Fitzgerald quoted on p. 90 in ‘Religion of Peace?
"I hate you but I smile at you" - that reminds me of the Jackal's Manifesto, which is from the Danish Hells Angels, I think.

Islam mandates deception (al-taqiyya) when Muslims deal with non-Muslims. Muslims are allowed to lie to non-believers if the lie is for the benefit of Islam.

In the video above we see Anjem Choudary (UK Muslim Imam) say two things:

at 3:21 'the actions of flying planes full of innocent civilians into building is not legitimate.'   This appears to be a public interview.

and then at 3:35 at a conference in North London 11-9-2003 he says : 'we are here to talk about the magnificent 19'...'those who revived the obligation of jihad worldwide.'

When i discovered this about Choudary I was surprised.  i had not heard him use this manner of speaking before.  I had always thought him a fearless proponent of Islam (and because of that a great recruiter for the EDL!) because he revealed the unglossed-over truth of Islam.

As an aside, the jihad he is refering to cannot mean the inner struggle type of jihad.

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom from Voter Importation
Immigration is allowed - except where that changes the political demography (this is electoral fraud)
4. SP Freedom from Debt
The Central Bank is allowed to create debt - except where that debt burden can pass across a generation (25 years).

An additional Freedom from Religion is deducible if the law is applied equally to everyone:

  • Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
