It takes a nation to protect the nation
When did it start?
We suggest it started with the burning of the book ‘The Satanic Verses’ 30 years ago. In December 1988, 7,000 Muslims in the town of Bolton publicly lit the fires to burn it. The following January, again, Muslims in Bradford gathered to destroy this work of fiction. This was followed a month later by a fatwa issued by the political and spiritual leader of Iran who authorised the killing of the author Salman Rushdie that still remains in effect.
Yes, it was a generation ago, but that was when the British Government decided to go along to get along.
Churchill’s advice was ignored. “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
The ‘crocodile’ in the national room is of course Islam.
The appeasing thinking was:
Let us allow the burning of books instead of arrest and deportations. It will pass. It is better for one artist, in this case, Salman Rushdie, to suffer death threats and live in hiding for the rest of his life than to protect one of the principles of Western Civilisation.
Let us allow the burning of books instead of taking by the throat the ideology that mentally imprisons millions of Muslims in this country with a 7th century mentality; who are answerable to their Allah only, and slavishly follow their master Mohammed, that perfect man and example for all to follow for all time.
Let us allow the increased importation of these mental cretins and enemies of freedom into our country because it is easier to say yes, or turn a blind eye, than to confront them and say NO!
Let us allow the sacrifice of countless millions of men and women in times past to be forgotten for the short-term gain of expediency and a false ‘peace’. Let us forget the words of the prophet: “They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ But there is no peace.”(Jeremiah 6:14)
Let us allow the thought that it is better for one artist to be crushed instead of vigorously step up to the plate and proclaim that we will not be defeated or cowed by any enemy, foreign or domestic.
Reaping What We Sowed
We are reaping today what we sowed 30 years ago. The delay in responding to these threats has made the task today all but impossible. Indeed, the Government no longer gives the pretence of defending centuries old principles. It has all but capitulated to the Islamic crocodile that never sleeps and will never stop, for their leader Mohammed said: ‘I have been commanded to fight against people, till they testify to the fact that there is no god but Allah.”
Examples of this craven capitulation abound:
Initially, Geert Wilders was denied entry to show his film Fitna in the House of Lords in 2009.
When Lee Rigby was brutally murdered by the soldiers of Allah in 2013, Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller were denied entry to this country. Another American, Michael Savage, had later also been denied entry to speak.
Tommy Robinson is routinely harassed by the forces of the State in an effort to shut him up.
One of our regular speakers, Banksy, is facing court proceedings for expressing his opinions on the Left and Islam. Another of our speakers, Paul Rimmer is also set for a court appearance for speaking out, like Banksy, at a public protest.
Tim Burton has spent time in prison for light-hearted words that offended a Muslim blogger who is well known for his self-importance, thin skin and vexatious litigation.
We, the EDL, have lost our main Facebook page on a number of occasions. Other Divisions have suffered the same fate with their FB pages. We have also had our twitter account closed for good.
Britain First has had their FB account closed after two of their leaders were recently sent to prison.
Earlier this month Martin Sellner, Brittany Pettibone, Lauren Southern and Rafał Ziemkiewicz were denied entry to speak here.
Patriot causes and arguments are being frozen out of the public square. It is as if leaders have disappeared from this country; as if they went up in smoke along with The Satanic Verses.
We can only echo the warning issued by the President of the United States in 1962:
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”
John F. Kennedy
An excellent summary of how we got to our present state of free-speech-denied.
I would add that on a regular basis both Paul Weston and Anne Marie Waters are suspended from Twitter for a week. It seems that these suspensions are followed by a permanent ban. I think the next time that AMW is suspended, it will result in a permanent ban. As she points out today, people are able to promote FGM on Twitter and they don't face a ban. That is, they are openly promoting child cruelty, misogyny and criminality -- and they don't face a ban.
About 5 years ago I warned people this kind of censorship was coming. About 3 years ago I warned that the Misuse of Telecommunications Act would be used to send people to prison for "offensive" posts on the internet. With Count Dankula, we have reached that point.
Incidentally, Tim Burton is writing a book about his time in prison. It's important that these things are recorded for posterity - so that people can see that the traitor class would imprison people for something that 40 years ago would have been seen as a great joke and would have resulted in Tim Burton being feted as a joker, invited onto chat shows, etc.
Noted this am that Tommy Robinson's facebook page has been taken down - don't know if it is permanent.
