One little problem with the calculation: THE AVERAGE MEXICAN VIEWS THE U. S. AS MEXICO. Why should they speak English? Between the reconquista lobby and the useful (multicultural) idiots on the Left (mainly guilty White libs), they are biding their time. In the meantime, California has now crossed the threshold: no political candidate can win without the support of "hispanics."
We are kicking the immigration can so far down the will be very hard to get back to a rational policy. This is why California was the exception to the conservative/Tea Party election sweep: the hispanic sympathy vote on behalf of illegal aliens. More on the solution to this dilemma later...

I am now finding limitations with this Culturism line of attack. There are so many ways of cutting this cake and I've already run out of time, so I'll have to summarise :-(

(1) One point is that the multiculturalism argument is just one of many different arguments that our enemies of freedom use against us. So just this one weapon is certainly not enough to win the war.

(2) And even if it was the only argument used against us, the Culturist argument, though very satisfying as an explanation for those of us that feel attacked by this multiculturalism mania, can itself possibly be attacked on the grounds that it begs the question. That is, it is redefining the terms in such a way as to win the argument, but the underlying problem remains.

(3) And if you do want to define your own culturism, then you have to try define what it is for the US culture, which is a far harder job than that faced by the proponent of Islamic culture (although it is still possible, but you haven't had time to do it there).

(4) Multiculturalism itself is now falling out of favour, as witnessed by, e.g. the statements by Angela Merkell no less, so that argument is not such a big threat now. The biggest problem is to even get our opponents discussing multiculturalism, instead of just screaming at us.

(5) And if we are 'allowed' a discussion, can't we just side-step all of these issues and problems of defining a new vocabulary, by simply asking why? i.e. "Why should we adopt multiculturalism?"
If the response is "Because its non-racist", then ask "Why is it non-racist?". Very soon the antagonist will tie themselves in knots. They tie themselves in knots because of the reasons you give in your Culturism model, true, but in this case we've done it without having to teach a new vocabulary or requiring them to read a book - which clearly isn't going to happen in most debates.

So what I'm saying is, I think the Culturism model is a brilliant way of teasing out and understanding one of the threads of this war, but there are many other weapons, and many other threads, that need to be developed as well.

John, I've seen your video and it's on the money. I see a difficult future for you, but not unattainable. How long will it take for your "culturalism" word actually take affect?... In the interim, keep plugging away.

Tom, Rabbi, I agree with all of that... just remember, the sheep are afraid of the wolves and have no control even with the election process. Just like Israel, if the tyranical government decided to lock up all the Chinese in camps, there would be riots, but in the end, the news media would calm us. Talk Shows would show both sides... and in the end, we would just suck it up,,, all in the name of the Government knows what it's doing. I'm sorry..... but the average american knows nothing about it's laws, politics or history. Placated by the media.

Tom, on your note about the border fence.... I would say open the darn borders. build factories in Mexico and create a sustainable infrastructure based on our experience... We could create a thriving country there.

My only thought is that ALL of them who are working here or there should pay their share of taxes.... Even if you give them amnesty, I'll cave on that... but from today forward, they need to pay every red cent... taxes, medical insurance, etc. The welfare to work program at a minimum.... 1 year or back to Mexico. Whatever works..... but NOTHING in life is free... or better put, nothing in life should be at my expense.

I know the US feels that we need to feed the world.... Great. My opinion would be consolidate ALL the funds to one region,,,, lets say mexico... with the quick goal of creating a self-sustainable society.... While we do that... let the rest of the world feed everyone else... and take some of the global responsibility.

Zerach Brown,

A fellow NY’er. I am the President of the Brooklyn Tea Party. Join us. Here is my tired rap !!

One of the things that makes our nation and the politicians you voted for silent is the tyranny of political correctness. Rabbi Shifren, your comment about being NAZI's reflects the discourse in which all who dissent are racists.

To win this rhetorical battle for the ideas of the nation, we must challenge the word multiculturalism with culturism. Whereas multiculturalism denies that we have a core culture, culturism notes we actually do.

The multiculturalists are rhetorically weak on several fronts. Not believing in it, they call all who note that diversity has real implications (such as Jihad) racists. The word culturist can point the topic back to where it belongs, culture.

Airport screening is culturist, not racist. If cultural diversity is real, culturism is necessary.

Stopping all Islamic immigration is not racist, it is culturist. Cultural diversity is real. ANd it is not racist to mention it.

Not having an ability to speak without being shut down by PC monitors, creates frustration. It means that only force can resolve differences. If we restore discourse, we may avoid such strife.

Hmmm.....How's the fishin' down there? (!)

I understand Rabbi. I worked on the border fence for several months and found that while a good number of the people comming across are just lettuce pickers and chicken house workers looking for a better life too many are communist infiltrators, narco terrorists, and Islamic terrorists. A big portion of them are headed straight for Los Angeles. You and Zerach will be right where the leftest/Islamic uprising begins and I don't envy y'alls position at all. I'm planning to defend my piece of ground in the backwoods of Louisiana. If y'all need a place of refuge let me know.

Tom, let me clarify. Let's go back to the Weimar Republic. Inflation, corruption, surging Communism, poverty, and decadence all provided a witch's brew that forced people to give up their freedoms for "law and order."
I am with you and get it. But the people, any people, including Americans are not imbued with infinite patience. They cannot be pushed too much before they break. The present marxist in the White House, I predict, will use the depressed economy to manipulate our freedoms. Our true test as a nation will be our measure of resisting those demagogues with simplistic solutions.
Tom, here's a fact: never before have so many Americans purchased arms and ammo. Why? What are they afraid of? Well,, you know what, I have my own arsenal. I am not sure about what will be when s...hits the fan. And don't count on the cops. Hate to be negative. But here I am in the middle of the "hood" in L.A., surrounded by armies of illegal aliens, gangs, and narcotized populace.
It's not good, Tom. But I believe in America, so I act and admonish for change.

Zerach a mavy veteran applied for an arms permit and they tried to take all the guns he owns from him. The man was a Choir Boy compared to me. I'll pass on going through the governmental red tape.
Comment by Zev Braun on November 30, 2010 at 2:14
Rabbi and Tom, the wording is less important than the message. As long as we agree there.

I'm going to give the government (elected by the people) a little credit... The people didn't become lambs overnight. When the west was won, the civil war era etc... the average adult and youth knew many things about how to survive. Finding drinkable water, how to prepare for a long winter (or storm) and most importantly the skills of hunting and self defense.

The growth of the government sponsored Sherrif and Police Deparrments and subsequent national agencies has simply created a false sense of security among the citizenry to the extent that our parents simply did not pass down these skills to us.

We coward away from every confrontation. I'll give the UK a bit of credit, as the slightest inconvenience like the current tuition hikes cause outrage among the citizens. IF that were to happen here there would be thousands of arrests to insure it doesn't happen again,,, and that battle would simply be lost.

We've just simply given up. We need to stand up, as individuals, and use our rights to make a stand. Every US Citizen should apply for a Firearms permit. Every citizen should not simply own a firearm, but seriously take the training needed to be comfortable with it. "Comfort at Arms" i've seen those words around.

With enough permits, the sheer numbers alone should begin to represent the will of the people. Maybe if the people felt that voting would actually make a difference, more people would vote.

I live in NY... and not ONE of the candidates I voted for were elected this time round. Damn liberals.

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom of Movement
The government can import new voters - except where that changes the political demographics (i.e. electoral fraud by means of immigration)
4. SP Freedom from Over-spending
People should not be charged for government systems which they reject, and which give them no benefit. For example, the government cannot pass a debt burden across generations (25 years).
An additional Freedom from Religion is be deducible by equal application of law: "Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight - except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
