Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service: Recruiting to reflect the local community

The residents in the county are from diverse religious backgrounds and HFRS regularly attends religious gatherings from a range of faith groups, using the opportunity to promote employment opportunities with the service, as well as provide fire safety advice. HFRS has attended careers days at some mosques across the county and is aiming to improve its engagement with faith communities by providing awareness-raising courses for staff, including Islamic awareness.

Community leader calls for end to firefighter attacks

·                                 By Charlotte Bradshaw »

A MOSQUES leader has vowed to haul yobs before the police after East Lancs firefighters were attacked for the fourth time in five days.

The youngsters behind one of the attacks have been identified by fire officers.

But Salim Mulla, senior chairman of Lancashire Council of Mosques, said community leaders were determined to find the culprits of all four attacks.

Meanwhile MPs and community leaders today urged thugs to stop the madness.

The incidents over the past week have involved:

·                                 Fire crews having stones and pieces of wood thrown at them during attacks on Friday and Sunday evenings in Daneshouse, Burnley.

·                                 A fireman needing hospital treatment after he was hit in the face with a brick, which was thrown through a fire-engine window in Audley Range, Blackburn, on Monday night.

·                                 Yobs deliberately starting a rubbish fire to lure firefighters before pelting the engine with stones in Home Street, Stoneyholme, Burnley, at 9.30pm on Tuesday.

Fire chiefs insisted that offences of this nature are "isolated" and believe the incidents could be copycat attacks.

According to Home Office statistics there have been just nine attacks on crews in Lancashire over the past two years and 24 incidents relating to verbal abuse.

But Salim Mulla said that he was determined to 'name and shame' the culprits.

Mr Mulla said: "We have had information to suggest it was a gang of Asian youths who attacked the fire-engine in Blackburn.

"The congregation is extremely angry that an incident such as this could have taken place. We want to get to the bottom of it.

"The congregation wants to name and shame the culprits and drag them to the police station.

"I addressed a congregation of more than 2,500 people condemning the attacks.

"I explained attacks of this nature will not be tolerated and said those responsible are not welcome in the mosque. Somebody could have been killed.

"It's sickening."

Burnley MP Kitty Ussher supported community leaders in their efforts to find the yobs.

She said: "There is no justification whatsoever in using violence against our hard-working, dedicated emergency services who put their lives at risk on a daily basis.

"I support the actions that community leaders are taking to try and stamp out what appears to be a new wave of violence.

"I have heard of things like this happening before but never in clusters like this."

Steve Harman, Fire Brigade Union secretary, said: "These attacks are inexcusable and must not be tolerated.

"It can never be part of anyone's job to get a brick or bottle in the head or to be spat at."

Police are warning youngsters who attack firefighters that they will be prosecuted.

A meeting was being held at Daneshouse and Stoneyholme Community Centre last night with police and fire crews to discuss the problem.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service outreach develop-ment officer Naveed Sharif has been working alongside Faz Patel in engaging with youngsters in the area.

Naveed said they had found the culprits behind one of the attacks and the youngsters had apologised.

"They didn't realise the consequences of their actions," he said.

Faz added: "It's about having respect. We are working hard to educate the youngsters and engaging with them on their level.

"Communities are well connected to each other which makes it easy for us to work in different communities and everybody be behind what we are doing."

A police spokesman added: "We are liaising with the fire brigade as to how best to deal with the issue.

"This behaviour will not be tolerated."

We are told several times how such ‘behaviour will not be tolerated.’  Will Naveed and Faz now turn these yobs over to the local police authorities?

'Malmö: Fires and stone-throwing in Rosengård'

what would Wallander do?!
a friend sent this article below, with the following comment:
Maybe someone should tell the Boy Prime Minister that "the Ishøj suburb of Copenhagen" might have one day to become
a "prison camp" to protect ordinary people in Copenhagen - oh no, that would be against the human rights of the youths
to conduct jihad to further the aims of Allah.

Is jihad a human right?

Copenhagen: Incitement against the police

The Copenhagen District West Police decide to increase security for ambulances, firetrucks and the police's own patrol cars in the Ishøj suburb of Copenhagen.

From now on police cars will accompany emergency vehicles (DA) when they go to certain housing estatees, especially around Ishøj Center. (

The windows of several police cars were smashed recently and a new Facebook group, Ishøj Ghetto, was set up to incite to vandalism against police cars.

Police Inspector Ib Meng says that they're trying to find out who's behind the group. It's a crime to directly incite to arson and vandalism. However, Ib Meng says that the situation in Ishøj had not heated up.

Over 700 people joined the Facebook group. The group posted pictures of vandalized police cars and comments such as: "My bothers, you will destroy all the police cars who come close to Ishøj. It is our city."

"F**k the police and the state (...) In Ishøj people go around with guns and patrol the street. We don't need the police." (DA, DA). Another message says: "In our right hand a grenade and in our left an AK47. We're fighting for our town. We're not afraid to die. We'll protect our city to the death." (

(photo, via Uriasposten)

The members are on the site are both of Danish and immigrant origin, but the group's organizers don't hide where they're coming from. "Soldier of Allah, allahu Akbar !!!! Muslims stay together and be stronger." [The comment is from way back in May]

The Ishøj Ghetto group also made mention of the singer Medina, who was pelted with stones in the city a few months ago, and posted a picture of a burning Israeli flag.

The media is also mentioned: "F**k the media. Keep out of Ishøj. You just want to make money or f*ck people's lives up. We're telling you for the last time: Keep away from Ishøj. We'l stone you out of Ishøj."

But more recently the group had a different message for the firefighters and ambulances: "You should not feel insecure when you drive in Ishøj. We don't have a problem with you."

An anti-"Ishøj Ghetto" group (DA) was also set up. The new group says they tried to comment on the Ishøj Ghetto group page, but were just threatened and their comments were removed. The "Ishøj Ghetto" group has since been removed. The site's organizers say they want to see how many people in Denmark agree that the police aren't just harassing young people and that if somebody feels persecuted by the police, there's probably a good reason for the police persecuting him.

Ib Meng says that they don't have any information about threats against the emergency vehicles. It is the police's decision to increase security.

Meanwhile, police agents from the Funen police stopped a car with known criminals in Vollsmose (Odense) yesterday, but were then chased out of the neighborhood (DA) with rocks and bottles.

When the police tried to stop the car, the driver continued driving until he reached a place where he knew he would get help, says the police. Two masked people were arrested, but the police can't link them to the stone-throwing and so they're being charged for violating an official notice.

Last Wednesday police were attacked with stones in Mjølnerparken in Nørrebro (Copenhagen).

The head of the emergency services in the Copenhagen suburb of Greve, Henrik Hillestrøm, told Midtjyllands avis (via Uriasposten) that around 30 neighborhoods in Denmark have at time the same problem of youth vandalism, where the youth set fire in the streets in order to lure the fire brigade. There are 25-30 housing estates in Denmark with such a problem.

The Danes have become a nation of babies.

Rioters are cutting fire hoses.

Events are occurring in Baltimore faster than they can be reported on. Tweets seem the most effective wide coverage. Fire Dept out of resources. Rioters are cutting fire hoses.
Police are badly outnumbered.
Many are saying that this is not a riot. It has become an uprising...(As in revolution?)
UPDATE 2:49 AM: Rate of arson has eclipsed the fire department’s ability to control each blaze.
Just tried reporting a store break-in and looting at the 7-Eleven on Charles in Saratoga. No operators are picking up 911 calls.
There's a man standing here who says he was carjacked at gunpoint by 4 youth and is stranded; no response to 911 call, he says
‪#‎Baltimore‬ on fire. FD scanner reports of at least a dozen dwelling fires across the city
Baltimore is total anarchy and chaos and this link provides an ongoing update.…/live-updates-baltimore-officers…/

CNN’s cameras caught a rioter in Baltimore cutting a hole in a fire hose that was being used to fight a fire at a CVS that had been looted during violence in the city on Monday. Two holes were cut on the hose, one that their cameras did not catch, and another that someone opened by stabbing the hose with a knife.

German fireman refuses to respond to emergencies at refugee shelters

Firefighter says personal safety 'cannot be guaranteed' in buildings used by asylum-seekers

A volunteer fireman in Germany has been criticised for refusing to take part in any firefighting at accommodation used by refugees.

The controversy comes as newly released figures show attacks on asylum-seekers in Germany have more than tripled this year.

The fireman, who has been named only as Jürgen S under German privacy laws, sent an official request to the local authorities in the town of Frankenberg in Saxony, to be released from his duties if a fire broke out at a refugee shelter.

The 34-year-old claimed firefighters’ personal safety could not be guaranteed in buildings used by asylum-seekers. The fire service immediately distanced itself from the claims.

“The request is the private opinion of a single volunteer. What is annoying is that he relates his desire for ‘self-protection’ to the entire volunteer Frankenberg fire service,” Harry Wrobel, the fire chief, told Welt newspaper.

Jürgen S has since withdrawn the request after a storm of negative publicity, and is reportedly travelling in the US.

The state of Saxony, in eastern Germany, has been the focus of anti-refugee protests as the country struggles to cope with a huge influx of asylum-seekers.

Frankenberg, a town of some 14,000 inhabitants, is home to two government refugee shelters but so far has escaped the tensions that have been seen elsewhere.

There have been 637 attacks on asylum-seekers in Germany so far this year, more than triple the 199 in the whole of 2014, according to new figures released by the police.

The majority of attacks have been damage to property, xenophobic graffiti and hate speech. But there have also been physical attacks on asylum-seekers and cases of arson in occupied buildings.

At the weekend a group of 30 masked men armed with baseball bats attacked three asylum-seekers in the eastern city of Magdeburg. Two of the victims, both Syrian, needed hospital treatment.

In a separate incident in the western town of Sehnde in the early house of Sunday morning, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a half-timbered house where a family of three asylum-seekers was staying.

Passers-by were able to put out the fire. An unnamed 43-year-old suspect has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

Officially, Germany expects to host 800,000 asylum-seekers this year butAngela Merkel reportedly told fellow government leaders at the weekend that the number will be closer to one million.

More than 4,000 arrived over the Austrian border on Wednesday alone, and a further 2,200 were waiting to cross on Thursday morning, according to reports.

The Roman Catholic Bishop of Essen caused controversy after he compared new transit zones being planned by Mrs Merkel’s government to concentration camps.

The government wants to hold asylum-seekers inside transit zones on the border until their applications are decided.

Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck said the lives of asylum-seekers held in the transit zones would be “like that in a concentration camp”.

He later apologised after a storm of protest from politicians, and said the analogy had been inappropriate.

Mrs Merkel’s government has agreed to set up the transit zones, but they still face significant opposition from her main coalition partner, the Social Democrats.

Firefighters in the southern Swedish city of Malmö were forced to let a building burn to the ground after they were violently attacked by locals who threw glass bottles at them.

The fire, which occurred in the city’s suburb of Kroksback, initially started after two cars in a car park were set on fire Thursday at around 9 pm. Police and fire crews were called and arrived on the scene shortly after, whilst another fire started at a nearby building on Sörbäcksgatan street, police said in a press release.

As the firemen tried to put out the second blaze, glass bottles were thrown at them and at their vehicles. The attack forced the firemen to abandon the blaze which engulfed the building and burned it to the ground.

Police who arrived on the scene were also attacked with glass bottles though the police report does not specify what damage was done to their vehicles or any injuries sustained by the emergency personnel.

Authorities also added that they do not know if there is any connection between the two fires, though both are suspected to be arson.

Attacks on emergency services personnel in Sweden are far from rare in certain areas that have become known globally as “no-go zones”. In some of the more notorious heavily migrant-populated suburbs like Husby, Tensta, and Rinkeby in Stockholm, police, firemen and ambulance workers have been attacked on multiple occasions.

The number of areas classed as “vulnerable” by police has risen from 15 to 23 in two years, according to "sensitive" leaked documents.

The situation has become so bad in some areas that ambulance unions have asked for bullet proof vests to be given to paramedics working in problem areas.

Some of the violence against emergency workers has even been caught on camera. Dramatic footage originally broadcast in 2015 showed police being attacked in several no-go areas and being told by locals, “you are not in charge here”.

Breitbart London Editor in Chief Raheem Kassam has visited no-go zones in Sweden, Europe, and America and writes extensively about his experiences in his new book No Go Zones: How Shariah Law is Coming to a Neighborhood Near You

Muslim Terrorism Count

Thousands of Deadly Islamic Terror Attacks Since 9/11

Mission Overview

Most Western societies are based on Secular Democracy, which itself is based on the concept that the open marketplace of ideas leads to the optimum government. Whilst that model has been very successful, it has defects. The 4 Freedoms address 4 of the principal vulnerabilities, and gives corrections to them.

At the moment, one of the main actors exploiting these defects, is Islam, so this site pays particular attention to that threat.

Islam, operating at the micro and macro levels, is unstoppable by individuals, hence: "It takes a nation to protect the nation". There is not enough time to fight all its attacks, nor to read them nor even to record them. So the members of 4F try to curate a representative subset of these events.

We need to capture this information before it is removed.  The site already contains sufficient information to cover most issues, but our members add further updates when possible.

We hope that free nations will wake up to stop the threat, and force the separation of (Islamic) Church and State. This will also allow moderate Muslims to escape from their totalitarian political system.

The 4 Freedoms

These 4 freedoms are designed to close 4 vulnerabilities in Secular Democracy, by making them SP or Self-Protecting (see Hobbes's first law of nature). But Democracy also requires - in addition to the standard divisions of Executive, Legislature & Judiciary - a fourth body, Protector of the Open Society (POS), to monitor all its vulnerabilities (see also Popper).
1. SP Freedom of Speech
Any speech is allowed - except that advocating the end of these freedoms
2. SP Freedom of Election
Any party is allowed - except one advocating the end of these freedoms
3. SP Freedom from Voter Importation
Immigration is allowed - except where that changes the political demography (this is electoral fraud)
4. SP Freedom from Debt
The Central Bank is allowed to create debt - except where that debt burden can pass across a generation (25 years).

An additional Freedom from Religion is deducible if the law is applied equally to everyone:

  • Religious and cultural activities are exempt from legal oversight except where they intrude into the public sphere (Res Publica)"
