The trajectory of events between 1989 and 2005 seems to have escaped almost everyone.

1989: muslims march around the UK threatening to kill Rushdie; none are arrested, none are prosecuted, islam is advanced by state/media recognition of MCB and the Muslim Parliament.  Muslims were 1% of the UK population

2005: muslims commit the worst terrorist crime in the history of Britain; LibLabCon reward muslims with the outlawing of publicly voiced criticism of islam. Muslims were 4% of the UK population.

Between 1989 and 2005, muslims repeatedly attempted to get a law passed which prohibited criticism of islam.  Muslims are now 5% of the UK population, and Tommy Robinson is pre-emptively prevented from criticising islam.  As we saw last year Paul Weston was arrested for quoting a critical view of islam.

The trajectory has been set.  Unless significant change happens in the next 5 years (by which point -- on official statistics -- muslims will be close to 10% of the UK population), then even written criticism of islam will be illegal.  This is what Mehdi Hasan is currently demanding.  As the Religious Hatred Act proves, once muslims initiate these things they have a track record of getting governments to pass the legislation they desire.

Another look to the past, this time 1937, just before the outbreak of WW2.  Look how similar the appeasers and apologists words are, to those of today.  Today is like groundhog day in history.  (The files are too large for Ning so  are hosted offsite).  

Some of the catch phrases are very similar:

• "Let us all keep cool heads" = "We must not react against Islam"
• "I do not exclude the possibility of a mistake" = "its just a mis-understanding"
• "To many people looking from the outside, it presents itself as a struggle between two rival systems ... I cannot say whether that view is correct or not, but the fact that it is held constitutes a perpetual danger to the peace of Europe"
  In other words, all this talk of a 'clash of civilisations', has to stop!  I still read that from Leftist Loons.

There is one difference though.  If you were to make a cartoon like the one above, caricaturing Islamists that behead and enslave us, an army of human rights lawyers, Cherie Blair included, would descend on you like a pack of hyenas.

Just a little thought experiment.  My knowledge of history is a bit patchy so I may not get this totally right, so feel free to pitch in and correct this.

As I understand it, the Arabs become Muslim, conquered Iran, then the Arabs in turn vegetated in their Islamism.  So the Iranians with their Kaffir legacy of  study and technology conquered their conquerors, and stamped their brand of Islam on the new Islamic empire.

Then Islam spread to the Mongols, they became Muslim, then the Mongols turned around and conquered the the Middle East.

Then the Islamic empire conquered Anatolia (Turkey) and started the process of coercing and torturing its people to become Muslim.  Then the Turks turned around and conquered their conquerors, and stamped this new enlarged Islamic empire with their brand of Islam. They made the greatest and strongest Islamic Caliphate ever.  They they too degenerated, as they sank into the lethargy and backwardness of Islam, and forgot their previous Kaffir ways of study, argument and industrial development.

So when Islam has finally taken Europe in a few decades, do you really think all these newly converted European Muslims with their disciplined study, technology, factories and strategic knowledge, will just sit back and pray for 5 times a day?  Yes, they will in a couple of hundred years, when the virus of Islam has thoroughly infected the society and they have become as indolent and unproductive as the Middle Eastern is now.  But before that, Muslim Europe will probably go out and conquer all the other Muslim countries, in order to make the new Caliphate, stamped, of course, in the European mould.

That war, if it happens, will make the civil wars in Europe as Islam takes over, look like a teddy bears picnic.  It will have a brutality to surpass that of all other wars, because it will be fuelled with all the hatred built-in to the bones of Islam, all the technology and weapons of the West, and all the industriousness and strategy of Europe.

he was arrested but not convicted. I don't think he was even charged.

Labour was defeated in attempting to make it a criminal offence to say something which muslims found "insulting".  Labour failed in this attempt by 1 vote in 2005.  If that law had passed, then there's no doubt that a score of people would have been convicted by 2010, thus silencing everyone else.  

First convictions for plot to behead a soldier was in 2008.
